Just out of curiosity I took on the Melissa Brewington segment.

What a bunch of pointless, witness-leading testimony. My impression is that the only purpose for having her on the stand was pure character assassination. She had absolutely nothing to say of any relevance to the criminal charges. In fact, the more I read, the more I kept expecting to see "Barrett: Objection, Your Honor. Relevance?" but, sadly it almost never happened.

Most of what I have read is more like a group therapy session where the goal is for everybody to out-gas in front of the jury so they can empathize with all the weepy 'intimidated' witnesses/actors. Very little attention silly little things like the actual facts or the law.

I would say part railroaded (rather than framed), part the victim of incompetence in his representation.
