I believe this county needs a robust ethical overhaul. When an elected official "encourages" every member of the paid county staff to bring their family to political events, they are violating an ethical standard and the spirit of the law.
As the Clerk is responsible for elections in the county, it is imperative that the office maintain high ethical standards and set an example.
Aristotle said : �Whatever we learn to do, we learn by actually doing it; men come to be builders, for instance, by building, and harp players by playing the harp. In the same way, by doing just acts we come to be just; by doing self-controlled acts, we come to be self-controlled; and by doing brave acts, we become brave.� If our county Government consistently has to act in an ethical manor by rule and law we will have an ethical government. If our county Government, through LEAN, consistently finds new ways to become more efficient, we will have an efficient Government.
