Perhaps a fine point, but the "police" et. al. do not have access to identities via this forum unless you volunteer same. They can, as seen from a recent event, obtain a court order, but as with the prior event it isn't easy and it is a process that requires significant motivation to be worth following through on. None of this is easy nor will the courts support frivolous snooping. I can testify from my interaction with them that the Voy providers were extraordinarily scrupulous in ensuring that only data justified by the court order was released. For my own part, I certainly won't be volunteering any information short of clear criminal behavior on the part of a poster.
