Funny...under "What is a death investigation?" I found this quote: "Moving a body under these conditions is a Class D felony, punishable by imprisonment for up to three years and a fine of up to $10,000."

This has happened a couple of times in Dearborn County that I know of. If you can't follow the rules and laws when you are not involved in the office, do you really think you will when in the office? I am not saying a candidate did this, but there is an association with those that did...and a good chance that those backing this person will end up working for him if elected. I couldn't tell you the names of the people involved, but I could tell you the circumstances and they revolved around a decision that the coroner was taking too long.

I have also heard something about the time it takes to get the coroner to the scene thrown around the race. Just a FYI, the vehicles are kept at the lot by the jail. WHOEVER is elected and/or they hire, will still have to go to the jail and pick up a vehicle THEN head to the scene. It isn't like they can run out into their driveway and grab a vehicle and go. This is a county vehicle and has to be kept at a county facility.

My disclaimer...I am not associated with ANY of the parties running. I am, however, trying to educate myself with all offices an ALL candidates. I have made up my choice based on my research. Please research and make up your own mind. We ALL are entitled to opinions. Remember to cast your vote wisely, it is not easy to undo a bad choice! http://www.in.gov/legislative/ic/code/title5/ar8/
