From what I understand he will be resubmitting. However, I did hear of one pilot program where they were able to determine there were 10 recipients who were found to be using drugs. The pilot had a cost of around $65,000. I do not know what the sample size was. Depending on the amount of benefits it may be a wash and hardly a deterrent. I don't think someone receiving benefits should be using those funds to use drugs (of any kind, nicotine and alcohol included) but the alternative (unemployed, poor, and wanting drugs) is a higher danger to society than the 5 bucks a year of my tax bill that goes to welfare.
