The prosecutors were said to gesticulate in angry and repetitive manner about what must be done and what people are not allowed to say, and how despicable Mr. Brewington is. Sheriff supposedly sat at the prosecutors table during every part of trial with 2 prosecutors. As a juror I would have had a hard time going up against a group of angry victims and angry prosecution to protect speech, or to question the truth in what they said to be true about the limits on what you can say. I would not want to be singled out as the one who did not go along with the group, to have to stand up in the courtroom and face wrath of powerful victims, Judges, Sheriff and prosecutors. I wonder if the jurors were permitted or knew about the lawsuit against the County? Was the Prosecutor named in the lawsuit? This all seems very personal.
