Names of us shouldn't matter.(They know who I am anyway).
DC does not exercise the impartiality I wish they would. They overstep in unnecessarily harsh ways in some cases and ignore other things they need to address.
Let's consider the case of a police officer charged with felonies for appearing in uniform to a council campaign. He could have been disciplined by his own superiors by issuing a warning letter or a suspension, as would be standard common sense.
Instead this sham was pursued in the most destructive and expensive way possible. Is this only to bar this man from serving on Council? Tax dollars wasted by throwing a fully trained canine officer "to the dogs". We are not fooled by those behind this just because Whitley County prosecutor filed. I am recently ashamed to be considered a Republican, when so clearly this no longer represents integrity and honest values in our County, but feels like a vindictive misuse of power with no ethical standards.
No D.C. officer will be safe to do their jobs without equal scrutiny of their every move. I can document the same misconduct in another officer of doing similarly wrong things on duty ( republican supporter), but I don't think he should be fired or prosecuted! Police deserve respect and a job free from worry of unfair firing and nonsensical action against them without a sensible course of progressive discipline and an opportunity to learn how to improve their conduct and performance.
The Officials have now made our Deputy and police officers' jobs Hell. They will have to hide to avoid being accused of playing suduko or watching ball while waiting for a call, or being friendly in the appropriate way that creates a good rapport. The citizens are not their enemy, but the very bosses they work for. Disgusting!!
Those in Sheriff or Pros. office are in question for addressing things in a personally manner, lacking in objectivity and help for those who do not seem important to them.
This blog is the only thing that I am positive they read and respond to thoroughly.
I will be supportive of them when I see them do the right things, and I will be campaigning against them if they don't. Simple.
