The fact of the matter is that ONE of us IS sitting in jail because of his exercise of his rights to free speech. I don't have to know a thing about who would be the best parent or whether the right decisions were made in the divorce case. It is sufficient that Dan believes there were issues. His right to try to bring the facts as he sees them to the public, make his case, and express his opinions regarding those running our justice system is inviolate. That those criticized feel offended or that their political careers are threatened by his expose does not make his acts criminal or justify their abuse of their office to try to punish him for his views.

As a voter, I expect persons in their positions to be more mature in their judgments and restrained in their behavior. The fact that they are neither will inform my next decision at the ballot box.

And please save the alligator tears you shed for Dan. You don't care one whit for his fate and none of us are fooled into thinking you do by "I hope he gets the help he needs". What he needs is a marginally competent lawyer.
