If the longest you had ever gone without seeing your girls was 4 days and they were 5 and 3, you might very well interpret No visitation as meaning just that. You woke up that morning at 6:00AM planning to get your children,as you had done for 2 1/2 years, and you get a text that says the orders are in don't pick up the girls. The order went on to say that you had to get a mental health exam by a court approved mental health person. You,sir ro madame, have made a logical mistake. You are assuming that the Judge gave Dan a list of court approved therapists. NOT TRUE. Dan had to start from scratch with no direction. Prosecutor Negangard is singing the song that this is ALL Dan had to do. WRONG. If the first therapist, after being approved, ruled that Dan was perfectly capable with no mental issues he still didn't get his girls. He had to have 2- 2 hour sessions a week that he would have to pay for, of supervised visitation. Now can Dan have his kids? NO. He has to take all of the material off the websites that might be harmful to his girls. By the way, Judge Humphrey ruled on May 14, 2011 that his internet writings were not harmful to the girls and he DENIED the mother's request for a restraining order. Can anyone see why I would get frustrated with the people who say 'he only had to see a therapist"? That is simply not true. Judge Humphrey wrote at the time that his biggest concern was Dan's irrational attacks on Dr. Connor. It would seem that his biggest concern should have been what is IN THE BEST INTEREST OF MY GRANDDAUGHERS. Dan's trial starts Mon. Oct. 3, 2011 at 9:00AM.
