"We do this because we can" is a good motto for the County. But should they?
The Prosecution did an amazing job. It was a slam dunk, as would be expected with 2 years to prepare.
I wanted to hear proof of allegations, like the drive by threat. Was it untrue? Did they just throw out this allegation naming this man, which now appears to be untrue?
Don't underestimate the intelligence and abilities of our Prosecutors and authorities. I am convinced that if they felt like it, they could find almost any problematic citizen guilty of some law on the books and make it stick, and even convince a jury.
I find it disturbing and wrong to be this intrusive and controlling of what citizens want to say.
In their defense they have a heightened "spider sense" to protect themselves against those who might actually do harm physically. In this sense they could be viewed as paranoid, so be careful and balance your words and name slinging.
The internet is fairly new, many have not been taught the rules of the game the way those in the public eye might be.
