I fear, Sir, you are rather missing the point. This effort is not intended to protect the Jurors. I don't believe the defendant is alleged to be some sort of Drug Lord or Gang Boss with minions on the loose and willing to threaten or kill on his behalf. As far as we know he does not consort with Islamic Terrorist willing to smite the infidel for daring to sit his jury. This effort is to make a SHOW of 'protecting' the jurors. After all, if they NEED protection, well, how much more convincing will be the portrait of the big, bad, intimidating BLOGGER.

Jurors, frankly, are just innocent bit players lost in the crowd and hardly worth his attention, given the bigger fish all around him with the stink of malfeasance upon them. Even if he wrote about the jurors, a week later nobody would care or remember their names, not even him. They will have gone back to their everyday lives unscarred by whatever he might write that they would likely never see.

Taking any bets on whether or not they dress him up in an orange jumpsuit and manacles for the trial? Lord help us, we can't risk him making a break and getting his hands on...
