It happens all over the county. There is one person who was driving a county vehicle because his car broke down...a part time, on call type employee and this guy is running for office this election. Just think what will happen if he gets in office! Maybe I will be nice to him and get a county car to drive to and from work with the county paying for repairs, wear and tear and gas.....

I can understand some people taking a county or city vehicle home or to the store. If they are in and on call position and can leave what they are doing to take a call, then yes. If they are going to a job where they are being paid and can't leave to take a call, no. If they are out with their family and not likely to set them on the side of the road to take a call, no. Taking a police car, coroner vehicle, or any other emergency type vehicle out of the area where you are not likely to be able to respond to a call, no.

The reason it has always been acceptable to take cars home is so people can be called into work in an emergency. That is being abused and misused! It makes it bad for those that are following the rules, and there are some following the rules!
