The problem is that there is no "change"- new faces may be elected but they still answer to the same person. It's unfortunate when an elected official's position and paycheck are controlled by what you called "a Good Ole Boy." I have another name for it. Conflict of Interest.
Yes- we taxpayers like to be the center of attention- after all - it is OUR interests that are supposed to be served- not some personal kingdom being set up to serve what you called "a Good Ole Boy" who gets government officials in place to serve him.
