Many issues that should be handled here seem to require going to a higher authority outside the County.
Nothing personal, but how can we have an effective Commissioner who also has a County boss who can fire him? We need 3 Commissioners next election who can be unbiased and independent.
People who feel they've been handled improperly by County are forced to air their histrionics on the blog, because there's no reliable unbiased reporting system.
The system failures continue because most citizens have no financial means to challenge things that are are not done correctly or lawfully.
Even small failures in any department interfere with the process and make their bosses look bad.
I've encountered failures in the system. I've also been lied to by an important authority here. I am mystified by a system that forces a representative of the County to use deceit, probably to keep his job. This knowledge of dishonesty has caused grievous emotional damage and sadness to me personally. This taints the County image in my eyes and makes some of our leaders appear less than the men I thought they were.
I am sorry for you that you only see the people with these frustrations as ignorant.
