I know there is alot of talk of the way the youth drive around with their flags on the cars which people feel is an insult. I know that alot of people were upset when the cars went by and young guys were beeping and yelling out "USA" waking up the neighborhood. I am proud of the youth of today.
I didn't date in high school. At 16 my 18 year old friend had me join the USO in Ayer Mass. I danced and talked to the soldiers who were mostly 18 and 19 and many were shipping out to VietNam. I turned 17 then 18 I was still watching "Men" go over to fight. I went to several funerals as I had 3 friends that died in Nam.
I am now 49 and I see these young men of today honking and putting a flag on their cars and I see Young men who are proud of their country. And yes they will be the generation that will be called to fight this war. So let them enjoy what happiness they are feeling in their hearts even if it means showing their love for their country on the hood of their car.
