These state reps just dont get it.
We pushed the income tax cut for a reason. It was our intent to cut the role of government, not give them ways around it.
Taxes should all go to a general fund, so that it is easier for us to track them. Focusing this tax on health care, and that tax on land preservation, etc, just makes things more confusing so that they can find ways to use our money for their own personal benefit.
Drinking is not an illegal act. The government and "do-gooders" tried to change that once and created the organized crime mess that we had to endure for almost 50 years. The same is happening now with the "drug war".
Lets legislate behavior, not morals. Offer help to the people who need it, not punishment for those who are not responsible for the behavior of others.
