Does anybody know how Dracut Public Schools score in rank in Mass regarding the MCAS exams?
How do you all feel regarding it ? If you dont pass you cant graduate , however not ever student learns the same way, there are many students out there with learning disablities , who just may as well fail the exam. However I am sure these students are very bright
My feelings on the exams are as following : yes we need to make sure our children can read and write , however make the exemptions to those children who are in special needs , do not force them to take the same test that a child /student in a regular class room is taken.
i dont agree that so much stress should be places on the younger grades, not only on the children but also on the teacher. Make it be a learning tool .
i have many more thoughts on this subject but would like to know what the community thoughts are .
