Proud Of East Texas: Adriano Moraes

TYLER, TX (KLTV) - The story of Adriano Moraes is one of "rags to riches". Born in poverty in rural Brazil, Moraes, through passion, courage and perseverance, became what is described as "the greatest bull rider in history". Moraes won unpresidented world titles in 1994, 2001 and 2006. He retired from bull riding last year and from his base at his home just outside Tyler, travels as spokesperson for the PBR, Professional Bull Riders Association.

Moraes's victories and the way he accomplished them are something he shares in his book for kids "Eight Seconds With Little Adriano". Moraes knows the virtues of courage, self-discipline, respect, friendship, hope, love perseverance, and faith, which he teaches in his book and in his motivational speeches, do work.
