Update: Paulo Crimber -- Kris, Tue, Mar 11 2008, 23:59:07 [2]

Hey gang, hope you are all having a great day. I spoke with Paulo today and he says he's doing great. He went to see the doctor recently and his recovery is coming along wonderfully and he's been enjoying his time at home with Maria and Joao. He's still wearing the neck brace but no surgery will be required. They have released him to do some light training in the gym, riding the stationary bike and walking on the treadmill to help him keep up his strength. He told me that he goes back to the doctor in 4 weeks for more x-rays and that he should return to competetion hopefully by Omaha, if not there then in Chicago. Paulo says to thank everyone for supporting him and for their well wishes. He's such a sweetie pie, they don't come too much nicer than Paulo.

Off Topic -- Beckie, Fri, Mar 07 2008, 22:35:51 [1]

Not trying to sway your vote either way just thought every American needed to read this... Sorry for the OFF Topic

You're really going to vote for Obama?
Take 5 min. and pass this on, even if your not planning on voteing for him, people you know might. Even if your not religous, think about the part about Jihad.

The Bible has warned us that 'A man will come from the East that will be charismatic in nature and have proposed solutions for all our problems and his rhetoric will attract many supporters!'

When will our pathetic Nation quit turning their back on God and understand that this man is 'A Muslim'....First, Last and always....and we are AT WAR with the Muslim Nation, whether our bleeding-heart, secular, Liberal friends believe it or not. This man fits every description from the Bible of the 'Anti-Christ'!

I'm just glad to know that there are others that are frightened by this man!

Who is Barack Obama?

Very interesting and something that should be considered in your choice.

If you do not ever forward anything else, please forward this to all your contacts...this is very scary to think of what lies ahead of us here in our own United States...better heed this and pray about it and share it.

snopes. com ..' confirms this is factual. Check for yourself.

Who is Barack Obama?

Probable U. S. presidential candidate, Barack Hussein Obama was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Barack Hussein Obama, Sr., a black MUSLIM from Nyangoma-Kogel, Kenya and Ann Dunham, a white ATHEIST from Wichita , Kansas.

Obama's parents met at the University of Hawaii.

When Obama was two years old, his parents divorced. His father returned to Kenya. His mother then married Lolo Soetoro, a RADICAL Muslim from Indonesia.

When Obama was 6 years old, the family relocated to Indonesia. Obama attended a MUSLIM school in Jakarta. He also spent two years in a Catholic school.

Obama takes great care to conceal the fact that he is a Muslim. He is quick to point out that, 'He was once a Muslim, but that he also attended Catholic school.'

Obama's political handlers are attempting to make it appear that that he is not a radical.

Obama's introduction to Islam came via his father, and that this influence was temporary at best. In reality, the senior Obama returned to Kenya soon after the divorce, and never again had any direct influence over his son's
education.

Lolo Soetoro, the second husband of Obama's mother, Ann Dunham, introduced his stepson to Islam. Obama was enrolled in a Wahabi school in Jakarta.

Wahabism is the RADICAL teaching that is followed by the Muslim terrorists who are now waging Jihad against the western world. Since it is politically expedient to be a CHRISTIAN when seeking major public office in the United States, Barack Hussein Obama has joined the United Church of Christ in an attempt to downplay his Muslim background. ALSO, keep in mind that when he was sworn into office he DID NOT use the Holy Bible, but instead the Koran.

Barack Hussein Obama will NOT recite the Pledge of Allegiance nor will he show any reverence for our flag. While others place their hands over their hearts, Obama turns his back to the flag and slouches. Do you want someone like this as your PRESIDENT?

Let us all remain alert concerning Obama's expected presidential candidacy.

The Muslims have said they plan on destroying the US from the inside out, what better way to start than at the highest level - through the President of the United States, one of their own!

I'm posting this because it scares me to think the posibilities of the horrible repercussions that we'd face if he was voted into the White House.

Could you help, pretty please????? -- Kris, Mon, Feb 25 2008, 18:47:03 [6]

Click Here to help our good PBR buddy, Debbie win a trip to Ireland in WYCD, 99.5, Detroit’s Country’s contest “Go Green”. Below is a copy of her entire toast, seems some of it might have gotten left off of the posting on their website. If you get time, please vote for Debbie. She’s been a great friend and a true ambassador and fan of the PBR.

"An Irish Lass comes home from college and announces to her mother that she's got a case of "VD!" Her mother says..."Ahh, put in in the basement, your father will drink anything!" So let us raise our pints to "Ye" and the Lass' Father and may you be in heaven a half hour before the devil knows your dead!" And as they say in Ireland..."Go Green!"

Good luck Debbie, I hope you win!

Paulo Crimber -- Beckie, Tue, Feb 26 2008, 4:29:44 [1]

I really hate to hear this about Paulo.. He was having a great year.

Paulo Crimber underwent a x-rays and a CT scan today (February 25) that confirmed a fracture of the uppermost vertebrae in his neck (C1). It does not appear, at this time, that the fracture will require surgical treatment. He is being treated in a neck brace and will undergo additional tests in a couple of weeks. He is expected to be out at least six weeks.

Results -- Kris, Mon, Feb 25 2008, 17:19:16 [1]

Well, I was going to score the game but the PBR doesn't have the offical results up yet so that will have to wait.

How about the ride of Renato's on Chicken on a Chain???? That was spectacular. That boy will open up and spur any bull. I talked with Paulo on Saturday night and he told me that he would be going to Dallas today for x-rays and possibly a cat scan. I told him to stop hitting the dirt so dang hard and that I'd call him later this week to check on him. When I find something out I will let you all know for sure. Sad to not see Adriano riding in St. Louis, and I know Debbie and Pattie and Roxy were all severely sad about it, but he made a good decision. Here's wishing Paulo and Adriano both a speedy recovery.

Debbie and Pattie said they had a great time. By the way girls, I did see you on TV all night last night. Camera hams, that's what you are....lol Hope you girls made it home safe and sound.

Hope the rest of you had a great weekend.

BTW, Step Munster, it was great hearing from you Saturday night! Please tell Ross we are all wishing him a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him riding again next month.

I'm going to guess 3 90 or 90+ rides in the short go.

A little early but are you planning on go to the Finals? I've looked at several packages, still think the Gold Coast has the best one so far, would like to try the South Point but had some friends sit in sections 121/122 last year and they weren't real pleased with the seats.

I say there will be 2 90(or better) point rides in the short go this weekend.

Jeannie.. I'm planning on going to the finals this year and that is the very thing I have been going back and forth about..I have a room booked at South Point but I havent really decided yet.. The last time I went to the finals and got the package at the Gold Coast we had great seats...But... I want to stay where everyone else is staying... I had someone tell me thay stayed at G/C this past year and there were no cowboys/fans that they could see there..To bad the South Point can't get better seats:o(

Travis Briscoe Article -- Kris, Fri, Feb 01 2008, 17:53:55 [1]

Bull rider credits God for recovery, success in 2008
Lubbock Avalanche-Journal
Thursday, January 31, 2008
Story last updated at 1/31/2008 - 1:45 am

In December 2003, Travis Briscoe's family was told that he might not make it through the night.

He was 16 and on the verge of death after being hospitalized with a sinus cavity rupture. But within six months, Briscoe was riding bulls again thanks to successful brain surgery and what he called divine healing.

Today, the 20-year-old Edgewood, N.M., cowboy is the hottest competitor on the Professional Bull Riders circuit with already more than $200,000 in earnings this year.

While Briscoe has experienced extreme adversity and triumph in recent years, he emphatically says that it is his personal relationship with God and the teachings of his Christian faith that have seen him through.

"If anything, it's a testimony that shows how God can bring someone from (hard times) and give them success and a blessed life," said Briscoe, who has experienced remarkable success over the past three weekends on the PBR's top tier tour.

On Jan. 13, he turned in a stunning final-round score of 95 en route to winning the event in Worcester, Mass. On Jan. 18, he pocketed $105,000 at a winner-take-all show in Fresno, Calif. And on Sunday in Albany, N.Y., he claimed more than $58,000 for winning that title.

Briscoe's early season earnings are $204,108 and he has a simple philosophy about how to succeed in rodeo's most dangerous event.

"Don't be scared," he said. "It's a game that requires you to put your life on the line, and if you're going to do that anyway, why not go at it fullheartedly?"

And maybe that helps explain why he turned in the 95 aboard a rampaging bull named Copperhead Slinger when the title was at stake in Worcester. At that show, competitors were allowed to pick their final-round bulls and the confident Briscoe opted to mount a beast with a reputation. And there stood Copperhead Slinger, which had carried J.B. Mauney to the highest score at the November PBR World Finals, a 92.75 effort at the Las Vegas championships.

"I was riding well at the time and kicking loose, and it was just time to take a leap of faith," Briscoe said. "I knew that I was guaranteed to win if I could ride that bull."

Five days later, Briscoe showed up at Fresno where he had won the event in 2006, his first victory on a prestigious Built Ford Tough Series tour stop.

"There was just something about that atmosphere and I had just come off of being 95 points," Briscoe said.

But Briscoe entered the final round ranked fifth and had to finish with the highest aggregate score after making two rides that night in order to claim the six-figure paycheck.

"I thought that there's no way that I'm going to win this $100,000 because there's so many great matchups ahead of me," Briscoe said. "But things just went my way. I drew a bull that I had wanted to get on a for a long time that doesn't buck a lot of guys off."

After turning in an 88.5 aboard a bull named 3 Spot, Briscoe took the lead and the title contenders ahead of him faltered. After the dust settled, Briscoe edged three-time world champion Adriano Moraes for the title, 177.5 to 175.25.

The victory was bittersweet. Briscoe sustained a groin injury and was sidelined when the tour stopped in Sacramento the next night.

After a week of rest, Briscoe was ready for the Albany tour stop. And after staying on three bulls, he edged Luke Snyder for the title by a quarter of a point, 267.50 to 267.25.

He also received $30,000 in a promotion bonus called the "Ford Moment of Truth," by entering and finishing the final round with the lead.

And after winning three of the first six stops on the PBR's Built Ford Tough Series, Briscoe leads the PBR standings over second-ranked Brazilian Guilherme Marchi, 2,858.25 to 2,342.5.

Briscoe, who has stayed on 14 of 15 bulls on the Ford series, said one of the main reasons that he is winning is because he began the season in great physical shape. Last year, he was slowed by a wrist injury on his left riding hand and a right knee injury that required surgery.

"This year, I started 100 percent healthy because God healed my body in a big way," Briscoe said. "So, I'm going to continue running my race and having fun."

Albany FANtasy Results -- Kris, Mon, Jan 28 2008, 18:35:00 [2]

Good morning all! This year sure is turning out to be a great year for bull riding. 31 qualified rides in the long go last night, which is simply amazing. And that short go, that was awesome too. Well all except that part where Copperhead Slinger pulled Adriano down on his head. That was scary!!! Happy to see him walk away, that’s for sure. And what about the wreck Vince Northrup had, that was just awful, I thought that bull was going to take his head off. Below is the official injury report on Vince from the PBR website, courtesy of the amazing Dr. Tandy Freeman….

Vince Northrup broke 3 ribs (right 2,3,4), partially collapsed his right lung, broke a tooth, and lacerated his chin when he was stepped on after being thrown off by his Championship Round bull, Party Time. He was transported to Albany Medical Center where he was evaluated, treated, and released. He is out for 4-8 weeks.

Sure hate to see these boys getting so beat up. It’s going to be a grueling season for these guys, don’t forget to keep them and their families in your prayers.

As for FANtasy team standings and results, they are below. I think next season I’m going to let Team Michigan (even though I’m a Buckeye) pick my team. Team Michigan was our high scorer this week with a whopping 775 points. As for my team…well let’s just say they aren’t doing as well as I’d have hoped.

From the PBR... Info regarding the 1st cut -- Tracy, Wed, Jan 23 2008, 0:39:56 [1]

I stole this from Jinx' post on Gibson's forum... Gotta give credit where it's due... LOL!

PBR Announces First Cut of the 2008 Built Ford Tough Series Season MEDIA CONTACT:
Angela Hiatt
Public Relations Manager
719.242.2800, ext. 3380 office
angela@pbrnow.com

PUEBLO, Colo. (January 22, 2008) - Professional Bull Riders' (PBR) administration today announced the first official 'cut' of the 2008 season. The purpose of the cut is to determine which 45 bull riders will be competing on the elite Built Ford Tough Series presented by Wrangler (BFTS). Upon the conclusion of every fifth BFTS tour stop the lowest ranked riders in the BFTS point standings are subject to the cut. They are dropped from the tour and replaced by the top five riders in the Copenhagen Bull Riding Challenger tour standings. Money earned at all lower level PBR tours - Copenhagen Bull Riding Tour, Enterprise Rent-A-Car Tour, Discovery tour and international tours - counts toward earning a spot among the 45 best bull riding athletes in the PBR. All 2007 PBR Built Ford Tough World Finals presented by Wrangler qualifiers receive five BFTS events before they are subject to the cut.

The riders who were dropped from the tour following the Sacramento Classic in Sacramento, Calif. are Beau Hill (Columbia Falls, Mont.), Harve Stewart (Stephenville, Texas), Austin Meier (Kinta, Okla.), Silvanei Dias (Populina, Sao Paulo, Brazil), Jared Farley (Kempsey, Australia), Cole Taylor (Sayre, Okla.), Mark Lopes (Jackson, Calif.), Ned Cross (Midland, Ore.) and Davey Dyke (Fremont, Iowa).

The following riders, all of whom have been out of competition due to injury, will be subject to the cut after they have competed in five tour stops: Clayton Williams (Carthage, Texas) with two events remaining, Scott Schiffner (Strathmore, AB, Canada) with one event remaining, Billy Robinson (Galax, Va.) with one event remaining and Michael Riggs (Claxton, Ga.) with one event remaining due to their respective injuries. All 2008 PBR Built Ford Tough World Finals presented by Wrangler qualifiers receive five BFTS events before they are subject to the cut.

The top five athletes who will advance to the BFTS by virtue of their achievements at the Copenhagen Bull Riding Tour level are: 1. Tyler Pankewitz (Warburg, AB, Canada) $19,139; 2. Vince Northrup (Davidson, SK, Canada) $16,553; 3. Jimmy Lathero (Fellsmere, Fla.) $15,560; 4. D.J. Domangue (Shriever, La.) $14,406; 5. Cole Taylor (Sayre, Okla.) $13,586.

The roster for the 2008 Built Ford Tough World Finals is determined according to total money won in the PBR. All tour alternates currently qualify to replace injured riders based upon their combined earnings from 2007 and 2008 in the Copenhagen Bull Riding Challenger Tour standings through the first 10 events. The next cut will be after the Baltimore, MD BFTS event on March 1-2, 2008.

I'm going to pick Shivers to have the highest marked ride but I think Marchi is going to win this one. I looked at the draw and well, about 80% of those bulls have never been bucked out in the PBR so that was no help at all. LOL! Just going with a gut feeling here.

FANtasy Game Results - NY -- Kris, Mon, Jan 07 2008, 23:25:16 [6]

So, I’m sure by now you have all head the news about Adriano’s plans to retire at the end of the 2008 season. What a bitter-sweet moment for all of us. We, well most of us, love Adriano to pieces and love watching him ride bulls, the PBR just won’t be the same without him, at least not for me. I fully respect his decision and know with all my heart that this was not a decision he made over-night. Did any of you get to see the interviews with him on during the bull riding this weekend? I was sitting there watching and telling my mom, “Mom, he’s about to cry!” and he did. His passion for the sport is overwhelming and that was very evident during his interviews. I am so happy that Flavia was able to be in NY to share this with him. I still am kind of in shock that “The King” won’t be riding on the PBR tour after the 2008 World Finals. I could go on and on but I won’t. For all of you that know me, really know me, you know exactly how I feel about this.

NEW YORK -- The bulls come in shades of mean like Frank the Tank and Slammer, even a Chad Pennington-owned Get Ir Done. They snarl, they throw snot, they buck, and, last week, they did it in New York City as the Ford Tough rodeo series made a stop at Madison Square Garden.

The cowboys on the series saddle up on the bulking creatures for eight seconds at a time, hoping to earn paychecks ranging from $20,000 to over $50,000 for a first-place finish. The lucky cowboy last weekend was Valdiron de Oliveira, a Brazilian born-bull rider who held his breath as he watched fan favorite Chris Shivers get bucked off Bad Medicine in the final round. That ride, combined with de Oliveira's atop a bull named Outsider, helped him nab $31,400.

"The win means everything because I came to the United States to be a world champion," said de Oliveira, his hands bloodied from holding onto the rope so firmly. "To win this event in NYC, it's a big step up."

While the big prize seems like a paltry amount compared to what other professional athletes earn, it's the largest payday the two-year tour veteran has earned this year. His prize money last year amounted to $88,015 after he placed in 27 cups. The year before, he took home a little more than $16,000.

"He has to be careful what he does with that money," said a fellow rider. "He might get hurt next week and not be able to compete for six months."

And riders do get hurt. Last year, de Oliveira was hospitalized for a week after a bull stepped on his stomach. In New York last weekend, fans watched passively as second-place finisher J.B. Mauney was dragged around by a bull when his dismount caused his spur to get caught in the rope. Earlier that day, another rider was taken out of the ring with a bloodied face after his head collided with a bull's horns. One of the tour's top stars, Justin McBride, is sidelined for more than six months as he undergoes rehabilitation of his left shoulder following surgery for ligament and cartilage damage and a torn rotator cuff.

The decision to compete against the odds of injuries, death and no paydays is explained in mounds of country songs dedicated to the sport. Some of the riders say they were born to do -- ("I get so excited ... I just want to ride that bull," said de Oliveira), or that they're drawn by camaraderie among the cowboys who often live together ("you can't compete against you're buddies, you compete against the bulls"), and then there are the parties ("let's give a cheer to wake up the young men who didn't realize there are two one o'clocks in a day," said the announcer, ribbing on the younger cowboys who were still tired from the Jack Daniels sponsored party the night before).

Being successful in Professional Bull Riding (PRB) can turn a cowboy into a household name in certain parts of the country and help him earn fame that transcends rodeo fame. Shivers has been featured in Esquire, while McBride has released his own country cd, appeared at the Country Music Awards and claims country star Tracy Byrd as a good friend.

"I'm sure I wouldn't have made a record if I wasn't a world champion bull rider," McBride said.

That niche fame can turn into the real big money in the sport: endorsement deals. Wrangler jeans, Enterprise Car Rentals, Cinch jeans and ranch equipment companies are big sponsors of riders and the PBR, and eventually successful riders can bring in seven figures a year. Some riders wear their endorsements on their protective vests, while others advertise the lack thereof ("Your logo here" says the top of Dustin Elliott's vest) -- if they can stay on the tour and compete. Marketed solely on its riders, the sport is a natural for the cowboys to turn themselves into brand names.

"Financially, PBR has given me everything I've got," said McBride. "I've got a 3,200-acre ranch bought and paid for by the PBR."

As PBR grows, the pot for all of the riders grows too -- the company now gives shares of the company as rewards to cowboys, based on points finished on the tour. While the PBR's financial statements aren't public, it's estimated to be worth around $60 million by Sean Gleason, its chief marketing officer, and the company continues to grow internationally. In 2002, attendance was an estimated 10 million and by 2006 attendance had grown to 20 million.

But for unsponsored riders like de Oliveira, that win in New York, those eight seconds of glory might have been enough to keep him getting back on the bull.

"I don't even remember what happened," he said, as he received congratulations and calls for a bigger belt buckle. "I have no words."

And for today, he has a paycheck and another chance to get back on the bull.

"This is one of the last true sports, there's no guarantees, there's no contracts," McBride said. "You have to ride, and you have to win or else you're gone."

REMEMBERING.... -- Tracy, Sat, Dec 29 2007, 15:31:22 [2]

I posted this on Bruce's site and thought I'd share it hear too... It was a response to the following...

I couldn't think of a description for a "die-hard" fan when it was the topic on the now defunct (RIP) site, but I can now. The die-hard fan is the one who doesn't lose interest and continues to follow the PBR through its lopsided season and even watches reruns (though Challenger events would be more interesting). We die-hards prefer more not less.

This was my post...

I used to be that "die hard fan".

I remember the days when not only telecasts were months away... results were too. I used to tape the events and watch them over and over.

Unfortunately, the recent events have not been that good, the 1st time around, so I haven't wanted to watch a repeat. I really don't enjoy buck offs. I like RIDES, RIDES, RIDES -- 90+!!!!!!!

There were very few events that one of my "gang" was not in attendance. We posted results on various websites immediately following an event.

I remember sleeping with my phone so I could get the call with results and to let me know everyone was OK.

I remember getting the call when GlenK was killed in Alb. I did not know Glen, but there was always that chance that the next phone call would be about someone I did know. I remember seeing Gilbert break his neck in Nashville.

I remember Louisville, KY in 1999 -- the first BLC for Justin, RossC, Danny Varnadore, Trent Amedee, and Dusty Labeth. Danny rode Hollywood for 93 points.

I remember Bubba Dunn on Promiseland in Tampa, FL in 1999 for 96.5. The best ride EVER!

I remember 1999 Finals Round 2... "the most incredible bullriding EVER!" If you haven't seen it, borrow a tape. One of my favorite rides was Ty on Red Wolf for 95...

Dang... 1999 was a great year for PBR highlights!!!!!!

I miss Red Wolf, Promiseland, Moody Blues, Locomotive Breath, and Hollywood.

Unfortunately, my favorite bullriders and bulls have either retired... or died.

To me.. the bullriding itself is just not as good -- too many buckoffs and not enough great rides.

Just in case you hadn't read it yet.... -- Kris, Thu, Dec 13 2007, 17:02:49 [4]

Just in case you haven't read this on Fried Twinkies yet I am posting it here. This is proof the PBR is trying to stay in tune with their fans. I have to give props to Mr. Gleason for taking time out of his busy day to post this response on the Twinkies blog.

"Sean Gleason Says:
December 12th, 2007 at 9:06 pm
Point of Clarification for all you folks on Fried Twinkies.

PBR’s income numbers quoted in the New York Times cited the average “Household Income” and not “Individual Income” for PBR fan households. The average Household Income numbers were pulled from independent research from Scarborough and The Bonham Group, both respected research organizations. Household Income is based on the total income of working members in a household, which would include any husbands, wives and even teenage or adult children in the household at the time the surveys were taken. The average is composited from all fans across the US and is as high as it is because PBR has a lot of fans who have at least two full time employed individuals in the home.

As a general comment, you should know that both Randy and I read comments on Fried Twinkies and other sites on a regular basis. We take as much time as we can to stay in tune with the issues that our most ardent and loyal fans find important. I can’t say that I always agree with all of you, but we certainly do all we can to listen and learn.

Several of the comments posted on this site touch on issues we talk about with our staff on virtually a daily basis. “How do we continue to grow without alienating our core audience?”, “How do we manage the increasing demands from 20 million fans that all want accessibility to the stars of the sport?” and, “How do we keep it affordable?”.

I can’t say that we have the perfect answer to all of those questions, but we continually challenge ourselves to come up with solutions and guage the response from you. PBR’s core fans are what makes this sport work on every level. We appreciate your support and will do what we an to address your valid concerns."

Thanks Kris for posting that here. I read it on FT and sent MR Gleason an invitation to stop by our website. I would like for our board to start have some discussions hear. So if anyone has a topic that would like to discuss Ill be glad to add my 2cent.

The cost of a PBR event is really high for one person. I don't see how a family can go to a event that is not close by and we know how kids are when they go they want to buy things and of course they want to say hi to their favorite bullrider. And I think ALL of the bullriders should stay and sign autographs. Some of them need to remember that the fans are paying alot of hard earned $$$ to see them ride a bull and that pays their bills!!

[ Edit | View ]

[> [> Re: Just in case you hadn't read it yet.... -- Tracy, Fri, Dec 14 2007, 22:00:19 [1]

After reading the posts, I think they are concerned about the direction the PBR takes and taking care of everyone -- the PBR, the fans, the riders, and the contractors. Man, what a job, trying to please all those people at the same time. LOL!

I think everyone should make a point to sign autographs. I do know that some venues will run you off immediately following an event. The 1st and 2nd night of a 2 or 3 day event may be the only time available.

Or... maybe they can come up with an alternative location for a Meet and Greet for a couple hours.

[ Edit | View ]

[> [> [> Re: Just in case you hadn't read it yet.... -- Kristine, Mon, Dec 17 2007, 21:33:07 [1]

I totally agree on the autograph deal. I think they need to up the fine to $1,500 each time a bull rider decides not to sign autographs after each round. After all, it is "features" like that the keep the fans coming back. PBR became so popular because the "stars" were excessible. Now do I think people should stalk the boys in the hotels and in public places outside the arena for autographs, NO!. And we all understand that there are times when sponsor obligations keep a cowboy from being able to stay and sign after the rounds but that's a very rare occurance. Some guys just don't like to sign and I get that but I don't like getting up every morning and going to work but I do it.

I still don't think that the PBR should be charging $100 each for any seat, in any arena, in any location. That's just way tooooo expensive for what it is. The PBR has come a long long way, and I love it - its my favorite sport, but I just don't understand the rationale in commanding those kinds of prices for tickets at this juncture in the game. Just my humble, middle-class opinion.

I do commend the PBR staff, especially Randy and Sean and Mr. Patterson from Spire for taking the time out of their schedules to "keep an ear" to what the fans have to say. I can bet you that Roger Goodell doesn't answer questions on NFL message boards. (not to say that he might not want, I betting he doesn't have time)

Ok, enough of my soap-box ranting. : )

Is everyone ready for Christmas?

Please no wrinkles, Please no bags

And please lift my butt before it sags.

Please no age spots, Please no gray

And as for my belly, Please take it away.

Please keep me healthy, Please keep me young,

And thank you Dear Lord, For all that you've done.

Five tips for a woman....
1. It is important that a man helps you around the house and has a job.
2. It is important that a man makes you laugh.
3. It is important to find a man you can count on and doesn't lie to You.
4. It is important that a man loves you and spoils you.
5. It is important that these four men don't know each other!

RECIPE -- Tracy, Tue, Dec 04 2007, 15:48:00 [3]

I have no idea what to call this but it is a Mexican dish.
It is kinda like a Mexican chicken soup or stew.

Now, if any of y'all know me well... I'm not much of a "baker". I don't measure anything, just dump it in and see what happens...

Chicken tenders, cut in chunks
1 can of HOT chili beans
1 can diced tomatoes
1 jar Taco sauce, I used mild it was all we had
1/4 jar of HOT Pace salsa, and it is hot
onion
green pepper
jalapeno pepper
brown rice
salt
black pepper
red/black pepper
cumin
cilantro
chili powder

Brown off chicken, add all spices, to taste. Brown off onions and green peppers. NOTE... chicken and onions are way easier to cut up if still frozen.

Cook brown rice.

Dump all in a big pot and simmer until it's as done as you want it, or you get ready to eat... LOL!!!!!

If you don't like it hot, just substitute with mild.

We made soft tacos on Sunday, nachos on Monday, and I ate it like soup Monday night.

I'd bet it would be good as soup with a piece of that jalapeno cornbread with it.

PBR "reschedules" Cincinnati 4 days before event to happen..... -- Kris, Tue, Nov 27 2007, 16:43:30 [1]

Click Here to read about the PBR rescheduling the event in Cincinnati this weekend, just four days before the event. I for one am so disappointed!!! I find it hard to believe they couldn’t get this event ready to go, 3 weeks after the finals. They been able to have two events in Florida, the same weekend, for years in the past without these issues. Others have speculated that the rescheduling is due to poor ticket sales, could it be? Personally, I’d rather they skipped all the pre-show crap and just bucked out some freaking bulls. I was so looking forward to seeing everyone this weekend. Major bummer for this PBR fan!!!!
