Hey Hillbilly.. He did real good.. both the boys were good on the trip.. and its a long trip.. around 400 miles.. We had to stop alot more with Splash with but that was ok. He would scratch on the window when he wanted to stop..lol He is really smart to be so young.
We are going back June 1st for a week but Splash can't gp then. The house we rented is not pet friendly. We didn't have Splash when we were looking at houses..Not sure what we are going to do yet..They have a kennel out there so we thought about letting him spend the night there and picking him up during the day..it would be hard to leave him at night though.. My sister can look after him if we leave him at home.

Glad they did so well. I'll bet they are having a blast together.

I know how hard it is to leave them. BJ has slowed my traveling way down. I hate to leave her for very long. My Dad takes care of her when I'm gone, but I hate for him to have to and I hate to leave her.

I know...and he is no trouble and has so much fun at the beach. I would love for him to go but it would be bad to leave him in the kennel so I don't know what we'll do, yet.. I think the next time we go out there we will take our camper. That way we won't have to worry about finding a pet friendly place.. You need to go with us sometimes...and take your baby girl!

Hi folks, I know many of you are concerned for Lee Akin and have kept him in your prayers and I know that he and his family appreciate it. I went online yesterday and found the address for the hospital Lee is in, just incase anyone would want to send a card. Although Lee can't read them now, I know that once he can that it will mean the world to him to see the out pouring of love from his "bull riding family".

Tracy,

Since JW is ranked #21 he will not work as a trade for Ross J. If you wish to trade Ross J, you will need to pick someone from the bottom 15 guys per the current PBR standings. I believe Beckie posted them on the FANtasy page....let me know who you would like... : )

New Orleans........Results and Team Standings -- Kris, Mon, Mar 05 2007, 16:32:36 [1]

Well, looks like Mr. McBride is on the hunt for his 2nd World Title! Very happy to see him doing so well and having so much fun. I don’t know about all of you guys, but Ross C.’s wreck in the chute sure was ugly, I sure hated to see him get beat up like that. Mom and I discussed like so many of you did, the advantages of having some of those rails in the chutes padded some. I'm sure some of you remember Pacen Thygerson's (sp?)wreck in the chute, that pretty much but an end to his bull riding career. And what about that Clayton Williams, that boy can ride. If he stays healthy, he just may be a contender this year for the title…..

Well before you read the scores, I’ll just tell you now; there are a lot of goose eggs. However Team Cinch is still taking the game by storm…still in the lead with 1660 points. (Beckie has 1835 points but for our game they don’t count….)

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

Padding the top rail -- Beckie, Sun, Mar 04 2007, 22:54:09 [2]

OMG! I was sick to my stomach when Ross Coleman hit the rail of the chut.. And I dont think Luke is big enough to be spotting for Ross.

Why in the world don't the PBR have that top rail padded? It would not be hard to do at all. They could at least pad the top rails and the big post/rails.

[ Edit | View ]

Replies:

[> Re: Padding the top rail -- Eileen, Mon, Mar 05 2007, 1:11:11 [1]

It made my stomach turn as well when Ross hit the rail. Ross has been a favorite of mine for a long time and I always hate to see him (or any rider for that matter) get hurt. I agree with you Becky....why don't they put some type of psdding on those rails. It would not only protect the rider, but it could help to protect the bull should they thrash around in the chut. This isn't the first time a rider has gone head first into the rails and it probably won't be the last, so it would be smart to put some type of padding on the rails. I hope that Ross is going to be okay.

[> Re: Report -- Debbie, Thu, Mar 01 2007, 7:18:50 [1]

Ok! Ok!! It has been a few days, and I am still not recouped! St. Louis was a blast - not as fun as last year when the event was on Mardi Gras weekend - I still can't believe I drank that much - but I regress! But who wouldn't love a 3 day weekend with the PBR!! The rides on Friday night were awesome!! So nice to see so many of the guys ride! It was good to see some of the guys like JW, Brendan Clark and Matt Bohan do well. Seems like the boys rode less as the weekend went on - seemed like Chad Berger brought half of the stock - some great bulls and some that were a little flat and they either bucked off or got scores in the low to mid 80's... We had seats even with the chutes and really enjoyed the show behind the show - if you get my meaning...all that stretching - holy cow - I was lucky to watch what was going on once they opened the gate!! The PBR actually had an ORGANIZED meet and greet on Saturday morning. Too bad some of the big guns didn't get their big butts out of bed to sign autographs - but the guys that were there were great. A few things I observed - Cory Rasch is back and looks good - too bad he took all his rerides because he bucked off. But good to see him coming back after such a bad injury. His girlfriend was doing some of the commentary behind the chutes on Friday - I was ready to do the happy dance thinking Tava was out - but alas she must have caught her flight becasue she was there the rest of the weekend. Cory's girl looked more natural at it - although I didn't hear the interviews - just saw the interactions. I do know that Cory's girl is in broadcasting in Dallas I think - can't we vote or something?!! Here's another weird tid bit - ALPO was a big sponsor in St. Louis - I don't know if it is regional or what - they were giving away prize packs of dog food and dog food coupons...No more Johnsonville Brat coupons - have some ALPO instead! Remember that saying "I'm just a tractor driver from Brazil..." Guess whose sporting a red branson tractor shirt - couldn't see that one coming...The instant replay challenge button was hit my Mike White on behalf of Colby Yates who bucked off at 7.8 seconds - but Ross and JW were egging him to hit the button - poor Mike White not only had a scary injury - but had a $500 fine for hitting the button - which didn't even sound the horn -it was broke - I think if the horn didn't sound - no fine. It was quite a comedy of errors to watch. Cody Whitney and Donald Owens were judging - does anyone really trust either of their judgements - those guys are too funny - talk about a comedy...All in all it was a great time spent with good friends and the best bullriding a girl can find - even if it was on the other side of the Mississippi.

And the winner is....... -- Kris, Sun, Feb 04 2007, 7:19:46 [2]

Heard from Hillbilly a little while ago, lucky chick got to go to the event in Atlanta... Anyway, turns out the Casey Hayes won the whole shootin' match. Rumor has it that there were a whole lot of buck off's tonight and that they had to draw 5 names just to get 15 boys into the short-go..... Anyway, please visit the PBR website tomorrow for offical scores.

Hope you are all staying warm! Us folk here in Ohio are freezin' our tails off. Right now it's about 9 degrees, with a wind-chill factor of -10. BURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!! Winter was late getting here and sure is making us pay now... Speaking of weather, thoughts and prayers out to the many citizens of Florida who lost so much due to the huricanes that ripped through there Friday morning.

Trade Peroid -- Beckie/Kris, Tue, Jan 30 2007, 4:13:08 [3]

Hey Everybody!!

FYI! Kris and I have decided to wait until after next weekends event to have the Fantasy Bullriding Trading Peroid. This week is the "Cut" week for the PBR and they wont have the draw up until at least Wednesday and we won't know who is on the new list.. So for everyone to have time to pick a trade and get them in to us and for us to get them recorded we have decided to wait.

Sorry we didn't think about this being the "Cut" week sooner.

Charlotte--- We had alot of fun at the Charlotte event.. Our seats weren't the best but we were there lol
We took Austin and now he is a cowboy! He had the best time.
Dale Earnhart was very nice with the fans..Richard Childers had the cowboys over to his house for some food and fun. He has a go-cart track and he turned the guys loose on that..lol Ron White was a riot.
We got to visit with my buddy Rob Bell. He is such a nice guy. Hopefully he makes the cut this week.

* A funny story..I ask Austin who was his favorite rider. He has always said Justin but he said Charlie Ham.. hum..I couldn't figure out who he was talking about..But he kept saying I like Charlie Ham.. I was talking to Kris on the phone and he told her the same thing..We finally figured out he was talking about Sean Willingham. I think he has it straight now lol

I'll try to post a few new pictures soon!...Beckie

Looks like all of our teams took a good beating this past weekend! Sure hated to see so many of the boys get knocked around like they did. Mike Lee’s wreck sure looks scary on television. I can only imagine how scared his wife must have been watching it happen on live TV. I thought Dale Jr. did a great job commentating. Ron White, well he is just plain crazy. Tava is still stumbling over her words but I think the questions weren’t quite so silly this time around.

Beckie, we can’t wait to here about how the event went from someone who was there. I bet Austin had a big time! Here’s wishing all the boys that got hurt this past weekend a speedy recovery.

Don’t forget that you may trade one cowboy and his sub if you wish. We’ll close the trading period as of midnight on Thursday, February 1st so that everyone has time to see the draws and see who was dropped from the BFTS Tour and who was brought up from the Challenger Tour.

Article including Ross Johnson from Amarillo -- Tracy, Mon, Jan 29 2007, 15:28:10 [2]

Wrecks' part of life on the back of a bull
By Lance Lahnert
lance.lahnert@amarillo.com
Amarillo-Globe

Stephenville's Harve Stewart, 19, has won three Professional Bull Riders events as a rookie. Stewart, who competed Saturday night at the PBR's Battle of the Bulls, said "wrecks" happen sooner or later, and most bull riders accept possible injury as part of the territory.

Professional bull riders travel thousands of miles a year to attend events all over the country.
They know one thing for sure will happen during those 12 months.

"It's not if, but when you get in a wreck,'' said 27-year-old Ross Johnson, of Alvord, one of the most highly respected pro bull riders in action Saturday night at the Professional Bull Riders Battle of the Bulls at the Amarillo National Center.

No, not a car wreck.

When 157-pound bull riders, like Johnson, find the wrong end of their eight seconds with a 1,500- to 2,000-pound snot-slinging animal, injuries occur that would send a normal person in a sprint to find another job.

"Wrecks are part of this job,'' said Johnson, who has won a little more than $400,000 in his eight-year career. "But they don't bother me. I'm on TV every week on OLN. I'm the one who is getting dragged around by my spur, around and around and around. I've made several great rides in my life, but I get in a crash and they won't leave it alone.''

Johnson's "crashes" have left him with an array of injuries.

Although Johnson says he is no different from any other bull rider in stacking up an injury list.

And what has Johnson endured?

"I've have had broken ribs, punctured a lung, shoulder surgery, arm surgery, tore my groin off the bone, an athletic hernia, and several concussions," Johnson said. "It's just like race car drivers. You know you are going to crash. It's just when is my crash coming up.''

Johnson, who has qualified for three PBR finals in Las Vegas, said he would spend every weekend riding bulls if travel allowed it. For instance, he spent Friday night winning the go-round in Johnson City, Tenn., before arriving Saturday in Amarillo.

"Getting on a bull is the biggest challenge in the world,'' Johnson said. "You have a 150-pound cowboy getting on a 2,000-pound bull. If you ride that bull for eight seconds and conquer that bull, there is no other greater feeling."

At 19, Harve Stewart was one of the youngest bull riders participating Saturday night.

Stewart is a native of Stephenville where he played high school football for the tradition-rich program. Stewart is on a roll and gaining respect as a PBR rookie having won three events.

"Bull riding is so fun,'' Stewart said. "You get to do something you like and they pay you really well. It's better than the average job. You get to pick your own hours to work."

Like football, Stewart knows an injury - or wreck - is always a distinct possibility.

"The wrecks are just part of the territory,'' Stewart said.

"I have had shoulder surgery. A broken leg. A lot of concussions. A wreck is going to happen sooner or later, you just hope it's not too serious.''

Johnson said despite the numerous bumps and bruises, he can't see himself doing anything else.

"My first ride when I was 10 was real quick," Johnson said. "I got on and hit the ground. But when I was 13, I learned to ride steers at junior rodeos. I could win 50 bucks for staying on a steer for six seconds.

"All my other buddies had to do chores around the house to get their money. I was the only kid in school with a wad of money. It was like I stole from my dad's wallet. I've been riding from that day on.

"After a crash, I haven't really ever thought of stopping. I don't want to get a real job."

Yeah, Tracy I agree, Trick or Treat was an awesome bull. If I'm not mistaken, wasn't he the one that knocked Shivers' teeth out at the 99' finals? Heck, I can't remember what year it was...but I know I was there and seen it happen. LOL!

Beckie, I hope you and your family have a great time in Charlotte! Don't forget to hug the boys for me and tell them I miss'em. Be safe and take lots of pictures. I can't wait to see pictures of Austin all "cowboy'd up".

Judges -- Beckie, Sun, Jan 21 2007, 20:00:12 [4]

well what do you think about Mike White's ride? Did the judges make the right call?

I really like Mike but I think he got away with a touch anyway you look at it. I think a touch/slap is just that.
The judge said it didnt help Mike ride the bull. If this is true then Marchi got screwed over at the finals.

I thought the rule was if any part of the upper body touches/slapes its a DQ...glad Im not a judge. IMO the rule needs to be cut and dry..a rule is a rule...

Let me know your thoughts..we don't have to agree lol

[ Edit | View ]

Replies:

[> Re: Judges -- Pam, Mon, Jan 22 2007, 18:58:06 [1]

I agree Beckie. It seemed unfair to DQ one and not the other. Weren't there different judges making the calls on the two events?

[ Edit | View ]

[> Re: Judges -- Kris, Wed, Jan 24 2007, 17:11:27 [1]

I do believe that Mighty Mike got lucky on that call, although it really didn't do him any good. And although I am happy for Adriano for winning the finals, I do agree that Marchi got screwed at the finals. I read on another MB where a few people think that the judges scored Justin higher on his short-go ride just because he is Justin. Well personally I think that BS! Justin stayed in shape throughout the entire 8 seconds. And even though Mike Lee had a decent ride, he was out of shape during the first 3 to 4 seconds. What do you all think about this "contraversy"? My thoughts, Justin's talent speaks for itself!!!!!!!! That's why he won the world title in 2005!

[ Edit | View ]

[> Re: Judges -- Tracy, Fri, Jan 26 2007, 15:04:29 [1]

Based on the way that I always understood the rule, I think Mike got away with one.

Maybe they have revised the ruling some, since they have instant replay and they can decide whether it was intentional or not........

One thing is for sure though, what goes around, comes around, so I'm sure he either already has or will get DQ'd for a slap that he doesn't make.

What events are y'all planning to attend? -- Hillbilly, Fri, Jan 19 2007, 0:50:49 [2]

Anyone going to Atlanta? I really do wish they would make it a 2 day event so all my buddies would come to visit me. Libby, Gina, Amanda, and Lori are coming.

Kris and Beckie, I wish y'all would come.

What about Charlotte? I would love to go to Charlotte, but it's too close to Atlanta. I need to work one of those weekends.

Hillbilly, Thats what the message board is for! lol

we are thinking about going to Charlotte the last night. I don't think we would be lucky enough to get Austin to sit still for 3 events. But he loves Justin, Adriano and Rob Bells stinking tail..thats what he says about Rob.lol Rob gets a kick out of that.

I hate driving in Atlanta but it would be alot better if it was a 2 day event.

Reindeer Dippin -- Hillbilly, Fri, Jan 19 2007, 0:54:35 [1]

Me again... LOL! I'm just finding all kinds of things to talk about today.

I see they have Reindeer back in the short go at Fresno. After that "wonderful" trip he had the last time he was out, I wondered what they would do with him. Actually, I was hoping he was through. I hate that bull. He's so trashy.

I sure do miss the days of the 90+, honest, bucking, spinners.

New Format? -- Beckie, Wed, Jan 17 2007, 6:53:36 [4]

How do you guys like the new format for the last 5 bullriders?

I dont mind the format but I dont like the top 5 being inverted.

If you guys want to get together and have a Chat let Kris or myself know when is a good time..Most any evening is good for me. well...of course not when a bullriding is on tv lol

Beckie, my thoughts exactly. I don't mind having the leader in the middle, but I don't like inverting the top 5. Like I told them on Fried Twinkies, if you can't follow bull riding, then you are not the brightest bulb int he light fixture, anyway.

Hey Hillbilly..you know Im not a bright light lol and I have no trouble keeping up lol. If your going to pay that much money for a tix Im sure going to keep up with the scores..

And for Tava..she seems so out of place. After the interview with Mike Lee I said What did they say lol

ps. I think that would be a good job for you!

[> [> [> Re: New Format? -- Hillbilly, Fri, Jan 19 2007, 0:46:41 [1]

Hey Beckie!

Tava needs a bull riding class. I actually feel sorry for her. They throw her out there to make a fool out of herself. I wonder who comes up with all those dumb questions.

You want to nominate me for that job?

I sure wouldn't attempt to interview them before they get a chance to catch their breath and shake out the kinks and I wouldn't ask, "So, what are your plans for riding Killer tonight?"

I know how my bull rider buddies feel about being spoken too right after a ride, especially if they buck off or are banged up a little. They need a little time, then they are ready to talk about it.

Team Standings after The Versus Invitational Jan 6 & 7 -- Kristine, Mon, Jan 08 2007, 22:11:22 [3]

Well gang, the first BFTS event for the 2007 season started off with a bang. I thought that OLN and even NBC did a great job with the telecasts. I think it was a nice addition to the event have Daughtery and Clay Walker both perform at the event this weekend. I'm sure the crowd loved it. And speaking of the crowd, I'd say NY loves the PBR! Congratulations to J.B. Mauney for the win and I have to say "WAY TO GO STEVEN SHELLEY!". I hope you all enjoyed the telecasts and are looking forward to next weekend's event, The Worcester Classic January 12th - 14th.

Beckie!

I love your tribute to Red Wolf!

I am not sure how I like the new format, seems a little strange to me. I don't know about y'all, but I have never had a problem figuring out who was winning an event. I've been keeping score from years. Remember when we all had to report in every night from the event so the scores could be posted. Man... those were the good old days. I really hope Sean has a great year too. I'm happy for JB. He and Canter are two of my favorites too. I really like all those young guns -- Canter, Mauney, Jenkins, etc. I thought VERSUS and NBC had pretty good telecast overall. I would rather they showed all the "outs" but I guess we have to be happy for what we're getting and not having to wait months to see the events.

The Championship Round -- Beckie, Sat, Jan 06 2007, 23:39:47 [3]

What do you guys think of the new format for the short go? Although it is nice to look at a cowboy anytime..I don't think the cowboys will like it at all.. I have never had any trouble knowing who was leading the event. I like to keep score with the day sheet and there is the BIG scorebord..I don't think it will last..but what do I know lol

The Championship Round will continue to feature the top fifteen riders based on points from the event. The fifteenth placing rider begins the round with competition continuing in decreasing order through rider number six. Following the section break, the number one cowboy in the round will ride followed by the remaining top five.

The rider leading in points will be featured on top of the "winners circle" represented by a platform in the center of the arena. After each subsequent ride, the rider featured in the winners circle will be subject to change as the remaining riders accumulate a better total score bumping the rider off the platform and taking his place. This will occur until eventually the event champion will be the featured cowboy in the center of the arena.

Incase you haven't been to the PBR website to read about the passing of this great animal athlete, here is the press lease.

Herrington Cattle Company and PBR mourn the loss of Red Wolf
The legendary bucking bull dies at age 18

Red Wolf

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (December 31, 2006) - The Professional Bull Riders Inc. (PBR) mourns the passing of Herrington Cattle Company's great Red Wolf. The great bucking bull passed away December 29, 2006 at the Herrington Ranch in Texas at the age of 18.

"I'm glad that Red Wolf was treated like a king," said Robby Herrington the great bull's owner. "The cowboys, stock contractors and fans treated him with the utmost respect. He helped take the sport of bull riding to a whole new level. It was a great honor to have owned him."

"Red Wolf was like the Jerry Rice of bucking bulls," said Ty Murray, PBR President. "The thing that made him special is that he was great for a long time-longer than he should have been. He had a personality and presence in the arena that endeared him to both fans and cowboys. When we had his retirement party he got a standing ovation and I believe that was a tribute to his personality."

"This bull had all the athleticism, he had an unbelievable muscle mass and those big horns that curved down. He also had a personality that he knew when and how to perform," stated Randy Bernard, PBR CEO. "My favorite memory of Red Wolf was in his retirement, we honored him by bringing him out into the arena under a dark house and there was not a dry eye behind the chutes with the cowboys, the stock contractors and the fans. When he made his entrance under the spot lights he came out and bowed his head like he knew it was his last time. It was one of the longest standing ovations I can remember at any performance. He was a great athlete that tried every single time."

"He never had an off day-it didn't matter what side he was loaded on, who was riding him, or how far he'd been hauled-he did his job everyday," said Cody Lambert, PBR Vice President and Livestock Director. "If he bucked a guy off in two or three seconds he would just take a victory lap but if he was ridden for seven or eight seconds he was mad and was looking for somebody to run over, it didn't matter if it was a bull rider, bull fighter, or judge. At the 1997 PBR World Finals, he was ridden and while one of the judges was calculating the score Red Wolf ran him over. We had to bring in an alternate judge to finish the round."

Through his great career, Red Wolf tossed a number of great cowboys including Murray, two-time PBR World Champion, Chris Shivers, Cody Custer, and J.W. Hart. In 1999 in Charlotte, N.C. Bubba Dunn scored 96 points aboard the great bull-the second highest score in PBR history.

Red Wolf was ridden 20 out of 47 career attempts on the elite PBR circuit. The 42.6% of the time he was conquered, his rival cowboy averaged 92.5 points. The great bull's average ride score was 44.4 points (out of 50) during his impressive career.

"At the time of his retirement, Red Wolf was old enough to be the great grandfather of some of the great bulls in the PBR and he was still as good as they get," continued Lambert. "I said at his retirement that he was the greatest bucking bull there's ever been and I stand by that statement today. There's been some since that could have been the best but they aren't still competing at 12 years old."

"He's one of those animals that becomes a legend," stated Murray. "I was fortunate enough to have gotten on him as many times I did. I think I won on him four times and he bucked me off once. The Friday night of the PBR World Finals in 1999 was the most impressive night of bull riding I've ever witnessed. I was 95.5 points on Red Wolf and placed third. He was certainly a part of that night."

Many people have heard the stories that whenever the Herrington's would load the truck to go to a bull riding, Red Wolf always wanted to get on and go. "I believe he understood the game and he loved it. I have a bronze of Red Wolf that Robby Herrington gave me sitting in the middle of my living room-with a picture of me riding him next to it. I've always thought it was an honor," said Murray.

"Robby Herrington retires every one of his bulls at the perfect time-not past the time," said Lambert. "He could have gotten another year out of Red Wolf but he treats his bulls with respect and honors them the way they deserve to be honored. Red Wolf was given the retirement and life after his athletic career was over that he had earned. Red Wolf was a great role model for bucking bulls and Robby Herrington is a great role model for stock contractors.

Red Wolf and Ty Murray have been immortalized in a painting by the famous LeRoy Neiman. Best known for his brilliantly colored, stunningly energetic images of sporting events and leisure activities, LeRoy Neiman is probably the most popular living artist in the United States.

Just wondering if anyone has noticed that Adriano has started calling himself "the tractor driver from Brazil"...they mentioned it on an ad for the VS Invitational and also - that's how he signed his Christmas Newsletter...I just found it a little strange - I've followed his career for 12 1/2 years and am just now hearing the title...Strange or is it just me?? Maybe there will be a tie in to a sponsorship for Branson?? Just wondering what you think:)

Oh I have to agree, sounds like there's going to be a new sponsorship deal happen soon. If I get a chance, I'll give him a call and see what he has to say about that.....

Is everyone ready for Christmas? Hard to believe it is in less than 2 weeks now. For the most part I'm ready, still have a few smallish gifts to purchase and then I'll be done.

PS - Debbie, thank you for the lovely Christmas card!!

We got a star in our midst!! -- Debbie, Sat, Nov 25 2006, 21:55:52 [3]

Put on your sunglasses - we got ourselves a star on this page! You got your 3 seconds of fame Kris!! I was watching the movie "Bullrider" which Pattie bought at the finals for me for Christmas...but I couldn't wait...anyway who do I see after the 4th round in Vegas 2004 after a stellar ride by Adriano - standing up cheering - no other than our hostess - Kris!! You ought to put the dvd on your Christmas list or order it on www.bullridermovie.com The movie was pretty good - similar to alot of the other bullriding movies - I myself was on the movie "Rank" twice!!which I just saw on the independent film channel - but if you love bullriding and most of us can't get enough - it is good watching!! However the ending is the 2004 finals - which I prefer the results of the 2006 finals better - so someone better get the film rolling!! So check it out and enjoy - guess you better get your sharpie ready girl!!

Wow, now I can't wait to see this DVD. I'm very curious to see who stupid I looked. And Debbie, I'm with you, I prefer the ending to the 2006 finals too!

And just incase anyone care, Bullrider is definetly on my my Christmas list now.......And I promise that I've been a pretty good girl this year.....

We used to get IFC but don't any more so if someone out there happens to catch Rank and can put it to VHS for me, I'd gladly repay you the cost of the tape and for sending it to me.

Beckie, if you're wanting my autograph, you best keep that card I just sent ya...LMAO!!!

Debbie thanks for posting about the movie and my big screen debut. Can't wait to see some of your pictures from Vegas. Tell the fam HI for me.

Keep Chris in your prayers! -- Debbie, Sun, Nov 19 2006, 3:47:24 [2]

Jinx posted on the Fried Twinkies page that although Chris won the round Friday in Hawaii - he was stepped on and had a fracture of his leg. He left the arena on a strecher and will require surgery. Probably out 3-6 months. Lets keep him and his family in our prayers for a fast and speedy recovery. For patience and peace during the healing process - and to keep the rest of the boys safe.

Hey Girls - the bar at the Gold Coast wasn't the same without you this year at the finals - so glad to see you opened a place where we can party all year round - where we can shoot the bull so to speak!! The finals were a blast as usual - Halloween is always a spectacle and my favorite pic this year is Brian Richardson in a skin tight spandex spiderman suit - complete with cowboy boots and a cowboy hat - nice touch - can you picture it!! The drama in the arena was to a max this year - I think the people viewing at home had a better idea of what was going on - perhaps Randy and Brandon could put VS in their ear and then could keep us in the stands informed better! What an ending - there was a miracle in the air and we are sure happy Adriano had his opportunity to become the first 3rd time champion. The weather was perfect - sunny and mid 70's every day - makes me sad vacation is over - but am looking forward to next year and the new PBR season. Keep up the good work and keep rooting for our boys!)

Love the new website -- Eileen, Tue, Nov 14 2006, 4:32:45 [4]

I just wanted to say that I love the new website. I am sure Beckie and Kristine will do a great job with this site. I have been to other sites (Rob & Dusty's)that Beckie runs and they are great, so I know that this one will be great as well.
As for the finals, I am glad Adriano did so well even though I was rooting for Ross or Justin to win. It is also so great to see Rob doing really well. Beckie, I was wondering if you know how close Rob is to making it back on thr BFTS tour? I really miss seeing him ride and he seems to be doing well, so I am thinking he has got to be close to the top 45.
Great website and I will definately be visiting this site often.

Our New World Champ! -- Beckie, Sun, Nov 12 2006, 3:30:33 [3]

Congrats to Adriano! I'll be the first to admit I didn't think he could do it but man am I happy he did!! I feel sorry for Marchi the way it all happened..he really has worked hard for the past 2 years but come up a little short.. Marchi is young and has tons of talent and will be a Champion one day.

Adriano rode when it counted and that is what matters..

[> Re: Our New World Champ! -- Sheila, Sun, Nov 12 2006, 22:33:22 [1]

Good work here girls. I kept praying for Adriano.I guess Norman and I were two of the few who felt he could do it.He has the most important thing a rider needs-Heart! Too many are riding today who are only thinking about the money.I have interviewed some who have come to the PBR because of the gold at the end of the rainbow;and when it is money only on your mind it hurts riding style. The guys who remember how to love riding and the adrenaline rush from trying to best the bulls are the ones who make it in the end. Not talking about Marchi here-others on the tour.
Marchi needed private time .The camera crews were wrong in showing his despair. They invaded his private moment and it was heartbreaking.Adriano gutted it out and proved a point that he had much more in him then Ty allowed for! Adriano is a champion in every true meaning of the title. Marchi has plenty of time to get it done.Look at Justin. He did it last season after being a bridesmaid two years in a row.Maybe next season will be Ross Coleman's turn. You never know.

[> [> Re: Our New World Champ! -- Kristine, Mon, Nov 13 2006, 16:24:50 [1]

Shelia,

I couldn't agree with you more about the camera and Marchi. Every man should be entitled to a moment of privacy when faced with such an emotional disappointment. Guilherme is still a young guy and was just so over come by not winning the buckle, I thought it rather callus that the cameras stayed on him so long in the locker room after the finals.

As for Adriano, I knew he could do it! I was so happy to see him prove the the non-believers wrong. And I agree with you 150% when you say "Adriano is a champion in every true meaning of the title".

Thanks to everyone for your kind words about the site and for visiting. Beckie and I hope this will be a fun place for bull riding fans to get together to talk about the sport and all that comes with it.

Kristine

Hey guys! This is cool! -- Tracy, Sun, Nov 12 2006, 15:53:26 [2]

CONGRATS to Adriano. I didn't think he could do it either. Of course I was pulling for Sean!!!!! Gotta be for that GA boy! I did feel sorry for Marchi. I really didn't think anyone would beat him this year. He was so consistent all season. I'm not sure I like the new points system. I think the finals should be worth more points... just not so many more points.

As far as refunding entry fees... I'm not sure how I feel about it. There probably has to be some kind of system set up to keep lots and lots of guys from entering every event even though they have no real intentions of showing up.

Hey Hillbilly...I was pulling for Sean too.. and Brian Canter our NC cowboy.. lol But, Im happy with Adriano being the Champ..He's The King!

It was a good finals.. I just wished I was there.

As far as pictures on the website..we can put 45 I think it is without making more pages.. but on this site we can put pictures of anyone..I know you guys have some good ones. I have a few I will have to look up.
And if you just have a good story to tell us just send it to me and Ill post it on the Poem page...That page is going to be for alot of things. The website has a long way to go but I think it will be fun. We don't have to watch every little thing we say as long as we all agree to disagree on Hot Topic's. Entry Fees -- Kristine, Sun, Nov 12 2006, 3:39:26 [1]

So I thought I'd start the first discussion here.

What do you all think about the PBR not refunding entry fees to riders who pay in advance but don't make it to the event? Please keep in mind that the PBR gets numerous bull riders entering up at every event and always have a good list of alternate...

My personal opinion is that they should at least refund half of the entry fee. It's not like that PBR is hurting for any money......

So, I'd sure love to hear what other PBR fans think about this subject.
