Subject: Columbus and the 2007 Season Wrap Up

So, the regular 2007 BFTS season has come to an end…can you all believe that the finals start in 3 short weeks? It’s amazing how fast this year has gone by. I had a great time at the Rocky Boots Invitational in Columbus! It was so nice to see all the boys again and to see our friends, Debbie and Pattie, from up north and our buddy Glenn from KY. I cannot forget to mention meeting Mary and Brian Angel while we were there. Mary is writing an article for a newspaper in Charleston about the PBR from a female’s perspective and interviewed me as well as my friend Robyn. What nice folks Mary and Brian are!! See that’s what I love about the PBR, I get to meet some wonderful people through the PBR. We all thought that Mike White’s arm was broken after he got stepped on in Round 1 but thankfully we were all wrong. Congratulations to Mighty Mike for winning Columbus. He sure couldn’t stop smiling all night! I don’t know how many of you were in Columbus when Ross Coleman rode Tuff Enough (not sure any more how they spelled it, I attribute that to old age and too many bull ridings..) for $100,000. I thought it was loud in Nationwide Arena then, wow that was nothing compared to deafening noise inside Nationwide this past Saturday night when Justin McBride covered Scene of the Crash for $200,000. The entire stadium was on its feet as soon as Justin gave that nod for the gate and for at least 10 minutes after the ride was over. It was awesome! I watched the event on FOX yesterday after I got home from Columbus and had to giggle a little watching JW, Ross and Brendon rooting for Justin and then climbing over the bucking chute to get to JT before the ride was even finished….it was funny and very endearing all at the same time. Those boys sure do love to see their buddies doing well. We got to sit with Billy Robinson’s wife and children both nights, what a lovely family. Poor Billy’s had his mouth wired shut now for a little over two weeks and has to eat, or rather drink, all his meals through a straw. I’m very happy for Billy that he’s now qualified for the finals! I got to talk to Tater for a few minutes and he is happily looking forward to being home more with his family. We all wish Tater the best in the future outside of the PBR. Dennis Johnson officially retired from bull fighting. During the event Dennis was presented with a plaque signed by numerous members of the PBR, all the guys came out to the arena floor to honor him and everyone inside Nationwide Arena was on their feet sending him out in style. It was a very touching moment for anyone who was there.

As many of you know, Quarter Horse Congress in going on each year during the PBR event in Columbus. Robyn and I got to go over on Saturday and then later met up with Debbie, Pattie and Glenn for some serious shopping. For anyone who is a horse lover, western wear lover, boot wearer, western décor lover, dog fancier, this is the place to be! Talk about some great shopping!!! If I had it, I could have easily dropped a ton of money in that place.

The PBR sponsored a really nice party for Luke “Titanium Tough” Snyder Saturday night, they served a buffet and had a live band. Luke seemed to be really appreciative of all the recognition he was receiving.

So, are you all just chomping at the bit for your Columbus scores now??????? I know, I’ve been a little long winded today….that’s just who I am. LOL! Your scores are below folks. On behalf of Beckie and I we would give our heart-felt thanks to all of you who participated in our FANtasy game this year. It has been a blast and such a treat to meet so many new people. Beckie and I are going to change things up a little for the 2008 Season (which starts in Cincinnati OH Nov 30!!!!). Congratulations to Eileen our very first KIBA FANtasy Champ, you sure were right on the money with your team selections all year! Maybe you should start working for a bookie..LOL!! Beckie will be coordinating with you regarding your prize. Thanks again to all of you for supporting the KIBA Bull Riding Bar, without y’all this sure would have gotten boring really fast… I hope you will all come back for next season’s FANtasy game and maybe we’ll get a few new players.

Acutally stupid me forgot to put mine and Beckies scores on there....it's been a long couple of days. Went to the doctor this morning and I have an acute sinus infection. Gotta love that....Beckie's year end score is 4335 points and mine was 3395...so you didn't actually finish last.. : )
