Subject: I was thinking that maybe the reason JB went all weird in the room with O'Bannion (he felt uncomfortable, and wasn't all 'there') - might it have been the presence of all the holy symbolism? I was thinking that one reason he never touched the Spear was that it might have been something that touched Christ - Seelie hallow or not.
I'm sort of playing with the idea that JB is one of those gods, or a descendant of one of the ancient gods that one of Mac's books from the Library spoke of. Also Kells, below, mentioned something about it. There's this Book in Invasions, mentioned in Darkfever, and it talks about all the invaders to Ireland (presumably) that pre-dated the Tuatha De Danaan - like the Fir Bolg; the Q-Celtic Goidelic people; and the Parthlonians.
I'm just wondering if he is sensitive to holy things, since he seems to think himself 'damned'.
But JB did touch the spear. He is the one who took it and stabbed the Unseelie Gray Man. (While it was holding Mac and she couldnt get to the spear.)

Ah! but he didn't really touch it - he picked up Mac's purse and stabbed the Grey Man without actually having to handle The Spear with his own hands. (It was Cheryle who pointed that out to me on these Very Pages!) -- claudia_celestial_girl Poof, Ms Lane?, 00:18:59 06/05/07 Tue [1]

In the booklet, it mentions that Mac started to read a book called Divine Power: A History of Holy Relics. That is a very suggestive title. -- claudia_celestial_girl "Want to Drive?" "Just Kidding.", 01:33:53 06/05/07 Tue [1]
