In the glossary to DF, under the term 'sifting silvers' it says that mirrors used to be the method of transportation between realms until they were 'cursed.' Interestingly, I didn't notice this before, the fellow who cursed them is the same 'Cruce' who's 'Cuff' was offered to Mac as protection. ;-0
