I to just finnished JR Ward first 3 books have to get the 4th yet Althought no one compares with KKM , J R is a good 2nd or 3rd a bit long winded I loved the 3rd Z & F my fav so far. Yes John is Darius reborn i am sure that will all come out when he turns.Vishous has visions so he chooses to be alone as he hate the fact that he can see how they die just not when.
