Subject: further conjecture regarding JB

I think the idea that JB is unseelie is ineteresting- it would certainly explain why JB can walk among the Shades w/o danger. But it doesn't quite add up- V'lane is not likely unseelie- Mac would have been able to see it despite its glamour, and the same goes for JB; the fact that JB told Mac that he "knows everything" (when he asked her why she didn't tell him of her encounter(s) with V'lane, and she asked how he knew that) and his speed when running her to safety after the confrontation with Lord Master and Malluce in the Dark Zone. Then he used the "Voice"-(remember the command voice used by the luscious heroes in the Highlander books?)-to heal her and help her sleep- I am not able to pinpoint what JB is- It could be so many things- he could very well be a Royal Hunter for all we know . . . any other thoughts?

Debbie- I think you are on to something. JB has to be Fae- remember the Spear? He never handled it- he let Mac do it.-In Mac's definitions, she says the Spear is deadly to all Fae. So Debbie- I definitely think you are on to something there. The idea that he is Druid as well also hits home- he certainly has many of the powers and abilities that we have come to associate with Druids(e.g. voice of power)-at least that it what i think he was using- but I am sure that there is something else that we will find very surprising. I do have another question- why does Mac have to be locked into her room each night? Why can't she go to JB's kitchen? (I would 've gone there immediately)She has been in 4 rooms at his home- the shop- the sitting area with the camel colored sofa, her bedroom, and the bathroom. In fact, we know more about Mac's parents house than we do about JB's. Just a thought. Also- JB has not eaten in the entire novel. Why is that?

[> WOW, what a great idea. I personaly think that JB is a druid born out of wedlock like Lucas was. -- Josie, 13:57:55 02/01/07 Thu [1]

[> KTW, I think the not eating could be fae? Did Adam ever eat? I can't remember. By him not eating, he may not even have anything stocked in his kitchen which would give away some of his uniqueness? Maybe we will find out in Bloodfever or Karen may be sneeky and make us wait until Faefever. The torture!!! -- DebbieH, 17:27:54 02/01/07 Thu [1]

[> Debbie you are right, Adam did not have to eat while he was Immortal. The Immortals don't have all the needs that humans do like sleeping and eating. I think that JB has to be a fae of some sort good or bad who knows but we will find out. -- CherDWag, 09:09:17 02/02/07 Fri [1]
