Hi Ladies! First time on here, I've read your messages to each other and you all seem so genuine. You crack me up! I too am a HUGE KMM fan, read all books several times over, and I'm amazed how prejudiced I am toward other authors. I don't want to spend a single dime on their crap, so KMM needs to step it up and clone herself and write at three times the speed. ;-). Seriously, she's an unbelievably prolific writer. Great sense of humor, just really well written novels. How do I join the "group"? Can anyone join?

Thanks Meche! This is fun! Finally, I can talk to women who understand my obsession with the Highlander books. Have a great night!

[> Sorry, I forgot to add that I feel the same way about other authors. There are only three I will pay full price for their books and they are KMM, Sherrilyn Kenyon and Pamela Clare. Others I will buy at UBS. -- DebbieH, 19:29:54 01/24/07 Wed [1]

[> Ditto your opinions Bellydancer. KMM is the only romance author that I read (unless I get desperate and my sister thrusts something under my nose *laughter*). -- Annaline, 08:52:29 01/25/07 Thu [1]

Thanks!!!! WOW!!! You gals ROCK!!!! I'd love author suggestions. I've enjoyed Susan Elizabeth Phillips, but beyond that, I've pretty much been a geek, reading history, archeology, physics, you name it, Nerd material. So thank you for any suggestions. I'm embarrassed to say that my family is quite surprised and horrified to see me change reading genre....they just don't know how long I've been indulging in "smut"....hee hee hee.

Thanks Sara! Really, I only mean "smut" in the kindest of ways. To the rest of my VERY conservative family, it's smut, to me, it's just dang necessary! I've been divorced since 2002....YIKES! Hey, by the way...what exactly is "photobucket"? I signed up, but I'm not sure what I signed up for....yah, I know....I probably should be a little wiser regarding sign-ups...C'est la vie.

[> Smut!!! LMAO, it's only smut it you see it that way. I see it as a fantasy that gets me away from daily reality. It could be a fantastic instructional owner's manual for men, if only they would read. When I get my house back to myself, I plan on tying the DH to the bed and reading Karen's books to him and repeating the "special parts" over and over. *BEG* We have a discussion going on the other side of this board about the very thing. Check it out. -- DebbieH, 12:43:17 01/25/07 Thu [1]

Thanks Leiha! I feel welcome! So...do you gals ever plan any weekend retreats, or "get-togethers"? Have you met each other? What are the rules for something like this? Any who had the name for the best book to buy this weekend, (besides any of KMM's, which I already own all of them)? I have a date tonight...err...not sure about him...and a younger cousin's wedding Saturday night...boo hoo for me...so I think I need to treat myself to a yummy book (and believe me, I've read all of KMM's SEVERAL times over) Anyone have suggestions?

[> [> [> Bellydancer, do you like historical romances, romance suspense or were/vampire? If so, the first two I would suggest Pamela Clare's Surrender and either Hard Evidence or Extreme Exposure (all three very hot and excellent) or any or Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunter series. I'm partial to the werehunters especially Wren, although Vane was yummy, too. Jez, now I can't make up my mind, maybe a werehunter sandwich. *BEG* -- DebbieH, 13:00:19 01/26/07 Fri [1]

[> [> [> [> Scarey books?? -- Bellydancer, 17:58:22 01/26/07 Fri [1]

YIKES!!! Again, I'm embarrassed to admit that were/vamp/blood/murder books scare the bageebies out of me....:-0. BUT, I guess as long as they have a happy ending(I know, soppy me) then I would read them. Truly, I had to re-read "Darkfever" in the light of day because it was just too insense for me. Yah..I'm not one for horror. This doesn't say much about me, because I'm also mortally terrified of clowns. Now you will all kick me off the board.

Oh, I forgot...is there a particular order I should read them in? From either author?

[> [> [> [> [> Pamela's books, if you want the romance suspense, I would start with Extreme Exposure and then Hard Evidence. In Hard Evidence, Pamela used some of her own experiences in the book. Surrender, a fantastic historical, will have two sequels later on. As far as Sherrilyn Kenyon's Darkhunter/Werehunter books start with Fantasy Lover then Night Pleasures, Night Embrace, Dance With the Devil, Kiss of the Night, Night Play (Werehunter), Sins of the Night, Seize the Night, Unleash the Night (Werehunter), Dark Side of the Moon, and her newest due out Feb 6, Dream Hunter. That should keep you really busy. They have action, romance, hot sex and good endings. I love all the vamp/were movies like Underworld and the newest Blood and Chocolat (out tonight). -- DebbieH, 19:20:52 01/26/07 Fri [1]

[> We would never kick you off the boards!! That's what's great about the board, everyone has they're own particular style of books they like. There are some that swear by Emma Holly and I am still giving her a chance. I've read three and only really liked one. -- DebbieH, 19:23:21 01/26/07 Fri [1]
