Subject: Just saw post of uk board with several people asking what dances are to be done for Shire's feis. Just wondering why, I thought reel, slip jig, heavy jig and hornpipe would be same or very similar quality for all championship dancers. Surely it shoud be or am I in a time warp here.

[> Not all schools concentrate on all the dances at the same time. My DD has chosen reel & hornpipe for the BN & that is all she is working on at the moment, plus her set dance, which is in jig time. I think that quite a few TCs do this in the run up to majors -- mum, Fri, Jun 22 2007, 12:10:33 [1]
