My Dear Cookie/Terry,no this is Sammy Hughes from sunny Southport. I am not interested in football rioters but in your comments about riots in your beloved Toxteth. You are so against police officers from that riot that you would stop their Giros and take back their compensation because they could not go back on duty.
But you do make a valid point that Lord Scarman laid part of the blame on poverty and deprevation in that area. The important question to you is who made the area into what it became as it was not always so. A few sugestions I would make to you is it was the Looney Left Labour Party who caused this monster in the 1980s,two names come to mind Hatton and Mulhearn. Do you remember now Cookie/Terry.
A once beautiful city and prosperous with it was not an ideal that the Looney Left wanted protrayed to the world, they wanted a new lefty revolution and the place to get it going was the poor ghettos they created. Their hatred for Mrs Thatcher was so intense the Looney Lefts attempt to turn the nation around failed and the good people of Liverpool had to pick up the pieces and in many cases still do. So no more crap Cookie/Terry your hardman image which is self protrayed fools no one but yourself.
You should remember your old motto at sea when mincing down the alleyway going into your cabin. "I will never leave my old friends behind". Nighty night sailor. Sammy.
