Date Posted: 25/03/08 10:07am In reply to: Frank Appleford 's message, "HMAS Sydney has been found" on 17/03/08 3:14am Your Dead Correct John the Truth does vanish in times of War. Without the Position passed on by Captain Detmers nobody would have known anything, and without this Book I have, their would never be an accurate account of the Battle Engagement between Sudney and Kormerant, some else I will add to this the Kormerant was not sunk by the Sydney, its engines were diabled so Captain Detmers made the decision to scuttle the Kormoran. We have had doubts about many Sea Escapades one of Note was about the carrier Victorious, now that one deserves a good read too, it touches on Incompetance within the Royal Navy.It is going to be very interesting to see which way The Sydney Story is going completed. Best wishes Glenn [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
