Date Posted: 1/04/08 2:40am Hi all again, I’m researching a ship called the SS George Washington ( also known briefly as SS Catlin) and I have a question. I know that the ship was given to the British under Lend-Lease agreement in 1941 but the MN only used it for one voyage to Newfoundland and then handed it back to the War Shipping Administration on 17 April 1942 as it was totally unsuited to Britain’s needs. Anybody have any idea where I might find information on that single voyage, originating port, crew lists, etc?. Thanks in advance, Patrick [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
