Billy McGee,

Yes it is sir, this is my great uncle Thomas Burke and the next of kin details are that of my Great Grandparents.

I cannot thank you enough for this information and the additional information concerning the Frances Massey and others from Port Talbot.

I really appreciate what you and Hugh MacLean have been able to do assist our family who lost three brothers during WWII.

I'm compiling this information for my elderly parents who cannot believe what you both have been able to find for us, its been a very emotional time here looking at the information, but very much appreciated.

We have one outstanding Merchant Navy sailor young James McDermott, the younger brother of Robert McDermott that we are trying to find more information on. It was James who was terrified returning to ship because he had been torpedoed once or twice before and had survived. Unfortunately his luck didn’t hold out and he ship was torpedoed and he died in service at sea. I really do not have any more information than that at the moment.

Many thanks

Kindest regards
Ray Jenkins
