Have been advised probably linked to a little known International Seamens' Strike in 1925, lasting over 100 days and spreading from Britain to Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. CAPTAIN MAY HAVE ARMED A YOUNG CREW: Possibly thought he would arrive home a hero - Suggested he was CHARGED WITH ENDANGERING LIVES OF CREW. Have found no confirmation of this and SS.Essex Envoy involvement - Fate of Captain etc thus far Keith.
