I originally posted this on the General Forum, where it didn't seem to be noticed, so I thought I should move it to this page.

For anyone who ever went to the NSTS/C at Gravesend, the following website is a must for you to check out http://www.gravesham.gov.uk/index.cfm?articleid=3823

I have copied below an extract from the site, and the more people who send in their memories, the better, so that those days are not forgotten. There are already 12 people's memories on there, but room for so many more. Have a read, as I it will bring back memories, and then add your own.

Regards

Ian

"Sea School is an important part of Gravesend's heritage and former pupils and staff are being asked to contribute information and memories to help preserve the history of this establishment for future generations.

Also know as The National Sea Training School / Centre, this prestigious training establishment was located in a large building in Denton, Gravesend.

The centre now operates through North West Kent College and is housed in the college's main building in Derring Way, Gravesend.

If you would like to share your memories with us please e-mail chantryheritagecentre@gravesham.gov.uk
or write to the Arts Development Officer, Gravesham Borough Council, Windmill Street, Gravesend, Kent DA12 1AU. Alternatively please call 01474 33 74 42"
