Subject: Does anyone think the real winners tonight were the 50 who did not win and do not have to deal with this mess for the next year of their lives?

Would you? She did nothing for her. Grace did everything on her own. Her year was mostly her booking & expenses. Why didn’t they have Grace on stage telling about her own Forbes 30? Playing her violin? I could go on and on. There’s a lot that’s hidden.

[> [> [> Subject: I am very curious to know what Grace's year was like as well. As much as there are contestants I would have loved to win last night I am not sure that this is a good situation for ANYONE right now. I wish Madison the best because I think this title is becoming a burden.

[> [> [> [> Subject: It seems like everyone since Cara Mund has been chewing off their paw to get away from MAO when their year is up. Camille was offered to keep it another year during Covid, but she said no. Does not seem to be a good place to work. Gone are the days when Miss America would give a heartfelt farewell, wipe away a couple of tears and glide down the runway. Now, they plop the crown on the new girl, and get out of Dodge as soon as they can. I think Grace was wearing track ahoes under her gown last night..

[> [> [> [> [> Subject: Sadly, it was also the same under the Haskell regime and way back to when Caressa was Miss America. I am going to post about the A&E series but there is so much poor leadership that the Miss Americas are having very toxic experiences. Cara had a particularly rough year and it seems like Grace did not have a good year either under new leadership. I cannot imagine this is good for any of the women holding this title. Truthfully I am worried about what Madison will face next year.

[> [> [> Subject: What's up with these female pageant directors in FL? Is it a combination of too much sun, alcohol and Botox? First off, you've got Mary Sullivan making license plates in the pen and now this Robin lady who is trying to become a megalomaniac on the back of MAO. I'll bet she would charge someone if they asked for a glass of water.

[> [> Subject: The Regalia guys? You mean the ones who own the most EXPENSIVE gown shop in the world and who’s biggest competitor for many many years was Robins shop? If you’re not from FL and have personal experience with all of these people you might want to sit this one out. They were bitter competitors, they lost the MA nationals sponsorship and there is a lot of money in this business

[> Subject: I am concerned that where there is smoke, there is fire. Many of you have been posting things this week that are very concerning to me. We are having serious, deep problems with leadership. I am still learning about Robin but not hearing good things, and some things from pageant week left a lot to be desired.

[> [> [> Subject: I sure hope there are plans for Madison. Realistically, she has the potential for LOTS of bookings with the military. If this relationship was managed well I actually think Madison could garner a lot of positive attention to the program.
