Here's an article that popped up on Yahoo. https://www.businessinsider.com/miss-america-age-limit-abbie-stockard-supports-pageant-rule-2025-1

I think this is a non-issue in the MAO. It was in the MUO, but as the article that was posted below, it was all a gimmick for publicity. I think that is very sad that it was only for publicity and not taken seriously. Actually, Miss Venezuela at Miss Universe was 34 and a mother, and I am not sure that she was just there for publicity. Venezuela is such a huge factor each year at Miss Universe and have so much prep that I think she probably earned her top 5.

In my opinion, the role of Miss America has become so challenging that I think some life experience would be better to handle the pressures of it. However, as a scholarship pageant, if the contestants can only apply winnings to future education, it is not likely going to attract a lot of competitors. I would personally not object to women who are older competing as I think that there is something to be gained with life experience. I think about myself, and I do not think I would have ever been able to handle being a spokesperson for a controversial and dying organization under the age of 30. There is just too much, and I think dealing with this leadership alone left the winners struggling with their mental health. Watch the A&E documentary and see how many parents needed to support their daughters emotionally.

Again, this seems to be a non-issue, but I am glad to see Abbie getting some publicity.
