 Howdy all!

Hope you are having a great summer day. We are starting to get the heat here. I'd like to say it feels good; it doesn't, but I love summer.

The heat will be on in TN tonight too! After watching the preliminaries, here is my top 15:

AL
IL
KS
MI
MS
NC
OH
TN
UT
VA
WA
TX
PA
RI

last is up for grabs, and I could switch out some of these for the following: AR, AZ, CA, GA, HI, ID, NH, NJ, ND, or OK. HI was one where she was quietly consistent all week and very charming, although I have thought the same of other years. I liked AZ all week, thought she was consistently good in all categories. CA good as well and had strong talent. I liked NH, same as AZ. ND and NJ are my wild cards. ND has absolutely superior talent and what's nice about this system is it has music connections. I can all but guarantee she gets noticed. NJ was consistent across the board but not outstanding in other categories. Good, but not outstanding.

As far as preliminary winners, AL reminds me of the type of contestant who was won MVA. They do not jump out with a strong personality, but she is very elegant and was consistent this week. MS and TN come from successful states, MS reminds me a lot of Hannah which may be a blessing or curse only one year from giving up her crown. I wouldn't be surprised if TN is up there tonight. I am not wild about OH but she is solidly in my 10.

As far as non-preliminary winners, I am taking a close look at UT as a contender. She's been very good in all her competitions, I hope we get to see her evening gown tonight. It's also a little close for UT to be winning again but she's got it going on.

Some of the Midwest girls I have in my top 15 like KS, MI, and IL have been consistent all week. KS reminds me a lot of Elle Smith and she was very strong in SS and EG. MI and IL were good in talent and good across the board. If either of these miss the cut I would not be surprised, also others like PA and RI. They were ones which are not getting a lot of attention but they've been good all week.

It will be a fun competition, and it starts soon!
