I thought between her and Branson, they had a lot to work with the next few years and I could easily see Branson winning in the next year or two. Especially given how tonight turned out. If any of you have been following MO for the past 15 years, there was a contestant named Mary Bauer who CONSTANTLY did her absolute best and would wind up as a runner-up, once even 4th runner-up after a dominant onstage performance, double preliminary wins, etc. I think Haile got Mary Bauered this year. I know I am not a judge, I am just an amateur and did not get to see who did well all week, didn't see interviews, etc. And I had the winner in my top 3 and predicted her as 1st runner-up when Springfield did not advance (which was also surprising.) So, once they get that high, it can be anyone's game. This was a final ballot result, so apparently it was a consensus among the judges. Haile can definitely come back, apparently she was an OT a few years ago and I hope she can win. I just have to wonder what more she could possibly do more than she did tonight. I actually thought that she could do well at Miss America given that she does have a good talent and has a lot of onstage presence. I am looking at who MO sent that was successful like Jennifer and Simone and I thought Haile had that.
I hope Haile comes back, and I hope Branson and Springfield come back. I think they could all win in the next few years. Audraine mentioned she is 26 so this was her last year. I think she will have a nice career as a school counselor and I wish her the best.
