Thanks for posting the vid Robbie. That was pretty bad, luckily no one was hurt. I hate to see any wreck at the hill, especially one like this.

Never have posted here but, after the wreck this weekend I had some strong opinions. Not 10 minutes before the wreck I had just complained to parents they needed to get their kids off the wall or something like this could happen! I have seen several racers drink and drive out here. I do remember them announcing that drivers need to make sure they aren't drinking but, several ignored the message. To many things this racing season have hit close to home and this should make drivers and spectators aware that a freak accident can happen at any moment. Another thing that has bugged me is spectators getting in the way when medics are needed. Those medics don't have a clue what they will be dealing with it could be nothing or it could be something major that needs a air lift. So when it all boils down to it, nobody should be drinking and driving and spectators need to be farther back from the wall. This could have turned deadly very quickly if a kid or even adult would have been standing there.

I am just glad to be part of the Hill .I understand it is a outlaw track I understand what outlaw means.with that being said I keep my family safe while I enjoy racing my car and watching the other races.when you come to a outlaw track you have to respect it and beware of the dangers.I think the hill family works hard to keep everyone safe as they can but we also have to do our part.I am glad no one got hurt and I will be there this weekend to enjoy a great time .

People DO need to be aware that if they stand near the wall that they are at risk of injury or worse. I have had a bad wreck at the Hill, to no fault of the Hills track but rather to my own mistakes, but I was lucky enough (if you call that luck) to roll over into the return lanes and not into the spectators but it could have happened that way. Of course, when a car goes OVER the wall, then there is NOT a safe distance from the wall. A race car doing donuts in the grass at full throttle is not safe at any distance. Gene seems like a nice guy and I want to be clear that I am not about to attack him in any way. His choice of driving shoes might be a better choice to wear rubber soled shoes and not cowboots while racing. All of the events of the wreck that night might be attributed to his foot slipping off of the brake onto the gas. Just don't place judgement on Gene too soon.
I am just saying.
