I heard that the blue dragster has added a hidden nitrous system. If that is true, it's either going to blow or go.

You cannot hide a nitrous system on a dragster. he does have a nitrous system on the car but he is not wanting to use any due to the new motor. I want to say that the person driving the blue dragster is not talking any smack and i cannot understand why there is so much trash talking going toward him. He is just out there to have fun, record or no record, he has drove there at that track for years first with his novas and now with his dragsters. He is not a trash talker and i wish that you people would get a life and find out about someone before you talk smack.

Actually, I was not talking about Snoddy's dragster. I was talking about the dragster that I thought was blue that also has purple and green and some other color stripes and I think has a blower with a tall injector on it. Also, I know for a fact that a full nitrous system CAN be hidden, EVEN on a dragster, with the nitrous bottle and solenoids mounted under the body panels and the stainless hard lines run through the inside of what appears to be a fuel supply line to a distribution block but is actually a nitrous supply line that uses custom nitrous nozzels made out of Enderle nozzles. Nozzles for nitrous, more nozzles for fuel. Simple. Don't tell me it can't be done. SEEN IT DONE.
BTW, seems like there is a lot of cry-babies on this site.

I would bring my car to the track excepting the fact that I don't have a race car. It's all I can do to keep my old car running long enough to get me to work and back. I was simply making an observation about a magazine article I read recently on how to have nitrous without the neighbors knowing it. They called it a "sleeper". Oh well, teach me to open my mouth and post my thoughts on this site.

I guess I must have also missed the trash talk or smack talk that "crazy people" or Camshaft were angry about. The originator of the hidden nitrous conversation is probably a teenager getting interested in the sport of drag racing and reads hot rod magazines. He didn't sound to me to be talking any trash talk about anybody, and clearly was not directing anything at Snotties dragster at all. I used to think that all participants and attendees of the Prairie Hill track were there to have fun and see how fast their car could go or to have fun watching other cars run. Sounds to me NOW that the only people talking trash here are the trashy talking people like "crazy people" and Camshaft. Bad losers in a good sport. Shame on them.

I am quite sure that the readers of this site have scrolled down to see further posts by Camshaft to see Mr. Camshaft outright cuss people and use the f word and other words that are an embarressment to the upstanding racer and participant that have up to now come to Prairie Hill to race their cars and to have fun seeing what their cars would do, whether it be a Kia, grandma's station wagon, a 5 second door car, a motorcycle, a four wheeler or lawn mower for that matter. As I have read what another participant wrote here, I also see now that only trashy people talk the trash that they are the one's crying about. I do not see the good willed participant or observer crying about anything or calling people names like mo-ron or anything else or even using cuss words and downrating the enthusiasm of a less experienced observer. Sad to see those things written here. If people wanted to see low rate losers cuss people of a different opinion, they would go to the dirt track roundyround. I see now that some of those same dirt track quality people have come to Prairie Hill. Sad to see.

My first concern is the safety of all who are at the track. I'm not GOD and I can't change the weather. We do everything that we can to provide a safe place to race. When we are forced to cancel our losses are substantial and we do everything we can to keep this from happening. Unlike the name,the track is flat and water will not drain from it. If you would like to donate a jet dryer we would be more than happy to accept it. If you feel that you need to go to another track then by all means go.

RESULTS 11/03/2007 -- Robert, 10:19:58 11/04/07 Sun [1]

All I can say is if you wernt there you missed some good racing.
First off the car club "PURE DOMINANCE" was there in FULL EFFECT.Adam told me that the entire club membership was in attendance and most of them with cars were racing them. Those people had a blast racing each other.
Well low et dragster went to David Winn from Groesbeck Texas with a fine 5.045
Wade Snoddy showed and his crew told me that he was going for the record but kenny Baker, the official starter at THE HILL. made the track just SOOOMMMMEEE stickey and Wade broke the rear end on his first attempt.STAY TUNED FOLKS AS I BELIEVE HE WILL SET THE RECORD.(good luck Wade and sorry about the rearend).
Next was low et door car.The first car to attemt was that old,loud,raggady police car. The driver knew that if anyone showed up that was half fast he would lose it but he tried anyway.First pass was a 5.619,with a 1.274 60ft.
Second pass was 5.610,then a 5.655.
Then came Ronnie Tye with a 5.74(I misplaced the time slip sorry Ronnie)just short of taking it away from the cop car.GOOD PASS RONNIE>
Then came Jessie Owens Jr RUETER from Mexia and took the marbles away from the cop car with a 5.532,and another try with a fine 5.519.
we had a young man in the Jr dragster class,Will Winn from Groesbeck Texas, went a perfect reaction time.That is 0.000 for those of you that have never seen one.Will is 11 years old.Congratulations Will,I am proud of you for that and good luck racing.
In the bracket race the quarter round finalists were Daniel Billings, Fairfield Texas and Robert Edwards Hewitt Texas.
The final saw two of our regulars doing battle for the marbles,David Baugh,Giddings Texas and Bubba Spence,China Spring Texas.
Well Bubba had lane choice and he put the bike in the left lane and the tree came down.Before the green light had a chance to light itself Bubba left as he knew he had to tree David putting David Baugh in the winners circle.
CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OF OUR PARTICIPANTS TONIGHT.

Results from 10/27/07 -- Robert, 17:00:16 10/30/07 Tue [1]

Well it was another exciting nite of drag racing at THE HILL.
In the bracket we had another new winner,Bubba Spence,take home all the marbles.
Lane Britt was runner up and Jon Faucett and David Pedigo were quarter round finalists.
Congratulations to all for a good race.
Low et door car was tried by several and some pretty good passes were made by danny Riech,Ronnie Tye and jessie Owens.
When the night was over Jessie had low et with a nice 5.515.
low et dragster was tried by a couple but Barry Poehls came out with guns-a-smokin(TIRES) and laid down a nice 4.884.The 60 foot time on this pass was 1.07. Also on this pass at about the 150foot mark the front wheels decieded to raise up about 3 feet in what was a climbing wheestand and Barry had to let out of it.The tires then shook and again Barry had to let out of it.WHAT WILL THIS CAR RUN?

Well its Tuesday night as I wright this and I have to wonder what will be in store for next Saturday night.
How about it Robby,Randy, Jessie, Ronnie Tye.
How about it Wade Snoddy,David Winn, Bruce Epps and of course Barry.

Well here is the skinny from last Saturday night.
In the bracket we had a new player and he went to the final round although he came up just a tad shy of the marbles. jimmy hassell won over Scooter Wilkins. Scooter was in his dragster and Jimmy in the "KICKIN CHICKEN" firebird.Congratulations to our finalists.
Well Mr. Wade Snoddy appeared for low et dragster class and made several nice hits during the night.His lowest time was a 4.837 which is quicker than any of his previous runs and was better than his short-lived record of 4.88.
The record is 4.768 held by Barry Poelhs.(better find some more HP Wade)
Well lots of time trials and test and tune were at the track and a good time was had by all.

The problem you have is not enough preload. What is happening is that the left tire is driving itself into the ground forceing the car to go right. I assume that this car does not have a antiroll so you need to put more weight on the right rear. The amount needed is determined on the power level of your car along with weight. engine size. horsepower. and torque curve. Give the specifics of the car to determine the right amount to put on the right rear. Basically the car needs to be scaled. SIDE

At this point, nobody knows what a "bullet" consists of but our agency's intelligence network sources have informed me in a coded message that 565 inches of a Reyer Morrison motor..... even sprayed to the point of self destruction...... in Snoddy's dragster won't be able to keep up with the blue dragster that I have heard about that set TWO new track records recently, somewhere in the mid 4.70's or so. We will continue to monitor airway/email/ wired for further information leading up to Snoddy's attempt at a new record.
NOTE: If the secret field agent is identified, this agency will disavow any knowledge of this person. As always, this message will self destruct in 45 seconds.

This agency was finally able to re-establish contact with the field agent investigating this case: The blue dragster is only running 496 cubic inches with a worn out Mooneyham blower and NO nitrous. It may be that 565 inches of a Reyer Morrison motor with lots of nitrous could be competitive.
Notes: Updates will be published when a NEW record is set.
Airway silence is to be observed until further contact by the field agent. Agent 4578H out.

RESULTS FOR 9/29/2007 -- Robert, 09:38:39 09/30/07 Sun [8]

Well another night of racing is over and the books are closed on this one.
Tonight we had a special race performed by 2 of our regulars at the HILL,Alford Whiteside and Justin Stead.Both drivers were entered in the bracket and when they went out they wanted to do an INDEX race.Now you might have noticed in my previous post I suggested that Alford and another racer do the index race,well Justin agreed and it was to be a 2 out of 3 race. The index was set,25.25,and both drivers knew that they would have to count the time away not to break out.
First round found both drivers breaking out but Alford broke out less,18.453, to Justins 15.609.
Second round was a closer race with Justin breaking out with a 24.633 to a winning 25.289.
Congratulations to Alford Whiteside for his win(he gave his winnings to Justin)
Well another plus for the track and this message board began tonight. Ronnie from Jacks stereo,who has been video recording and placing the results on U-TUBE was in the house and will post up the link to last nights racing on this site.
Thanks Ronnie, you do a fine job.
Low E T doorslammer was contested by only one car last night and that was Randy Henexson,with a 5.378.
Thans to Randy and Van for the fine show they put on.
Low E T dragster was contested by Barry Poehls and he set a new track record lowering it by .095 to a new 4.768.
Congratulations to Barry for a fine job.
Well it was bracket racing at its best and we had a new winner with a new car enter the bracket scene tonight.
Semi final round runner-ups were Larry Barak and Karl Miller.
The final saw a regular Mike White and newconer Skipper Roberts driving the Parsons roofing entry at the line.
Skipper Roberts took the win. Congratulations to him on a fine job.
Lots of test and tune cars and lots of spectators last night.Thanks to everyone for comming out and see all later at THE HILL.

Sorry for the delay in posting up the results for saturday,but here we go.
Only one car was shooting for low et in the doorslammer class and that was Rueter.He made several passes and was able to run a 5.655.He put on a good show for the crowd.
Next was the bracket race.
Every pair was close and there was some exciting races.
In the semi finals Clyde Hanie and Michael White were eleminitated.The final saw Ronald Spice and Charlie Bells car driven by up and coming driver Eddie Grimella. Eddie came up short and runnered up to Richard.
There were lots of test and tune cars and a good time was had watching.
See all next week at THE HILL.

There is usually a $100 payout for low ET. Low ET and bracket racing run the 1/8 mile. The 1/4 mile is for test and tune and you can go as fast as you want to. The have markers set up at the 1/8 so you know where it is and also have the 1/4 marked too. My 60' times are mostly 1 teens so the track hooks good for me. Bring your car and have some fun.

Well another Saturday night of racing is on the books, and it was very eventful.
First of all I would like to thank all the spectators for their continued support of the track and the sport that they love.
Next ,thanks to ALL RACERS for the show YOU put on for the spectators.
With that said,congratulations go out to Mike White, winner of the bracket and to his son Michael for his runnerup last night.
LOW E T DRAGSTER-----Congratulations to Barry Poehel of Elm Mott for setting the NEW TRACK RECORD a perfect run at 4.863. W O W.
Now folks, dont think for one moment that that record will stand for long because Barry has MORE in that dragster, and as he plays with it he will figure it out.
LOW E T DOORSLAMMER-----Well this class has proven to be an exciting one to watch{and participate in for me}.
First pass was the loud old police car with a 5.754 to get things started and to put a number up for all the others to shoot for.
Next up Robbie Horn lowers the number to a quicker 5.430.
Now this number would stand except enter Randy Henexson who said no-way.
Randy laid down a quicker 5.417 leaving the police car out and calling Robbie out to lower the number.
Well it worked, Robbie came back to the line and lowered the number to a 5.356.
Well Randy and Van were watching and they went back to the pits and tuned up their hotrod to answer the call, and shortly after returned to the line and laid down a quicker 5.342.
As Randy was making his pass Robbie was watching and when the number was announced Robbie told me that he was going back to the pits to put another bottle in the car. Now, did you understand what I just said? 2 KITS OF DOPE.
Soon again appeared Robbie at the bottom of the tower.Ken Tucker sprayed the track and robbie laid down a fine 5.340.
Well Randy returned and could not better that number.
Congratulations to Robbie Horn on his low ET.

Last night our offical sterter,Kenny Baker, had the tract S T I C K E Y.I saw 60 foot times at 1.11,1.19,and 1.21.
In other action we saw many 4-wheelers and they were having a lot of fun racing each other and calling out cars.

Well another night is on the books for "THE HILL",and it was an exciting one.
WE got a little late start and that was ok, as it sure was hot.
Our official starter,Kenny Baker{aka Rat Daddy} had the starting line S T I C K E Y.
Well Bruce Epps ran 5.178 to start with.
David Winn followed with a 5.174
This battle went on all night long.Although only 2 cars battled for low et as each one was making their pass the other driver was watching on the line.
Epps next pass was a 5.146.
Winn
goes a 5.145.
Epps goes a 5.120 and then a 5.108
Now I must tell you that during this battle David Winn was also entered in our bracket and he went to the final round and runnerup'.When the final was over he again said enough is enough and laid down a 5.035.
Epps again appered at the starting line but his 5.103 would not take low et.
Congratulations to David winn. Jessie Owens low et doorslammer,5.593, ant to our bracket winnerClyde Hanie.

What a night of racing!
low et dragster was a battle up until about midnight. Started off with Barry Poehel in his blown methenal, 496 cid hemi,Alan Johnson headed 2001 Bolton rear engine dragster running a fine 5.011.
Then came David Winn with his big block chevy rear engine dragster with several attempts(David was entered in our bracket as well) and probally was just time trialing but only got within a couple of tenths to Poehel.
Then came the small block rear engine dragster and was also a couple of thnths off the mark.
Enter Bruce Epps, Freestone Texas and he was hungry for that number.
Low and behold,Poehel returnesand goes a 5.007 causing the other dragsters to go back and tune their hotrods up.
After a disappointing semi final loss David Winn came back up and said enough is enough and laid down a perfect run at 4.997.
there were several later attempts to lower this new mark for the night but the battle will have to continue next Saturday night
Note. I would not count Epps,Winn, Or the sbc red out at lowering the 4.997 mark but Poehel has more to offer
Other racint found Chad Whitley of Robinson Tx calling out many cars and trucks.Chad drives a 4-wheeler and he hurt a lot of these fellas feelings by handing them their ___.
Lost more happened and my finger is tired -so to keep up with the racing scene you will have to come out to "THE HILL".

What would the rules be for the Infex classes. I have a delay box in my car and realy dount waunt to rewire everything.(Instant Green maybey). Also what is the shutdown area like. What I would like to start is a 5.50 index class with no electronics controlling the launch or ET of the car, door cars only & a seperate class for dragsters and roadsters. You would not have to remove your delay box because the tree can be set on random times making it useless, so people would not have to remove them. When you go to the races anywhere and you see fast cars with electronic throttle stops, have you noticed how many people stay in the stands to watch them. They do a badass burnout, then as soon as they leave the line they shut down from the throttle stop then go wide open again. I know they do this to be consistant and run slower ET's with a high MPH. I know it would be more difficult for the driver to have to physically control the ET of the car by his own reactions rather than by electronics. I think the fans would like it and it would be driver competitive. A mechanical throttle stop would be permitted, trans brakes & 2 steps ok, nitrous Ok but no electronic timers on the nitrous. Make it a driver only controlled ET not by any kind of electrical devices that help control ET. This is just MY opinion, so please don't let it offend anyone.
If there are enough cars, Ken runs a Electronic & No Electronic bracket race, and separate low ET for door cars & dragsters/roadsters. The shutdown area is good, but for only the 1/8 in a real fast car. I run low 5's in the 1/8 and my car has 3 1/2" ground clearence in the front and I don't have any problems. And yes it is a FUN place to race or be a spectator!!!

This would be 2 classes that would be heads up, NO ELECTRONIC devices to control ET such as throttle stops or timers. Mechanical throttle stops permitted. Trans brakes & 2 steps allowed for launches only. Nitrous allowed but has to be driver activated. I suggest a $25 entry fee with 60% to winner & 40% runner up. I will have to talk to Ken first, but would like some feedback to see if anyone interested. Would even consider a 7.50 et too.

The track record set last night was for open wheel cars. The door slammer record still stands. I know there are a lot of people wanting someone to break the record that I have held for two years now, but it will have to be a door car for the dragsters dont count as for as I am concern. You cant compare a dragster or roadster to a door car. That is like comparing apples and oranges together. A dragster weighing 8 to 9 hundred pound difference, motor in the middle or in the rear, driver in the center, no suspension well it should be quick and fast. Take a door car 8 or 9 hundred pounds heavier, motor hanging on the front, driver sitting on the left, with suspension. You have to have a little knowledge an be a little smart to be quick and fast.
