I will have plunty of candy for the kidos triker treating cant wait see yall there always a great time and some of the nices rcaers and spectators i have ever came across and i have raced all over the the state and country.
If anyone is interested or might know some one I am selling an air compressor and a truck. The air compressor is a Craftsman 33 gallon horizontal, 150 psi. It has only been used a couple of times at the track and at home, less than an hour of run time on it. I paid $380 and would like to get $250 obo. The truck is a 78 Chevy 1 ton dually single cab. It is the blue one I tow my car out there with for those who know me. The truck no longer has the 454 in it, it has a 350. I am asking $2000. If interested in either call me for questions--224 358 7777 and no that is not a typo it is 224 not 254
Chris saw your add about the truck you have for sale .Just wondering if it was going to be at the track next weekend was going to try to make it down i am with the 6.60 bunch out of the d/fw. area and i was looking for something to use as a shop truck or something to just use for running around in .If it was going to be at the track next weekend would be interested in looking at it .

Re: For sale -- Chris Ragsdale, 20:15:14 10/09/11 Sun [1]
Hey Ron, I have plans for next Saturday but could still make it out there before the races are over probablly. It is on craigslist under the waco area, just search for dually and it is close to the top. If you want give me a call and we can see about Saturday. Thanks
Sorry to say we will not be there Oct. 15, BJ will be out of town. Will be there after that. Oh, by the way, he finished third in non-electronics class at Fast Ford this week-end.
ok guys i have got at least 5 or 6 of our guys commited to come to the 6.60 race and 1 our racers said he get some his freinds out houston to come also i sure hope some locals raceres down ther come out and race to help support it any idea how many cars you might have not counting us
Jason I Brock my Jalopy at the bracket finals. Will try to get it fixed in time for the 6.60 race if not will probably ride down with jeff aynes. If not for this race then maybe for the oct. 29th. race.
Due to the unstable weather conditions this week-end we will be closed and praying for rain........We will be open next week-end and we will be running the 6.60 and brackets. Ken
Hey Ken,
We are coming back to the track Oct 1 to try again at a successful 1/4 mile pass and another track record in both the 1/8 and the 1/4 mile in ET and MPH. We are still looking for a 4.10/180+ 1/8 mile and a 6.50ish ET with a 210-220+ MPH in the quarter. Please prep the track accordingly. I would prefer to make an 1/8 mile pass first and early enough that we can do the 1/4 mile attempt in daylight. It got a little out of control the last time out in the dark on the 1/8 mile shut down. I need to get it right this time.
Thanks
About par for the luck I seem to not have. Everything on the heap was ready until I tried to start the engine for the last time before loading it into the trailer Saturday morning. I hit the start switch and found that the clutch pack had gotten so hot on the last 4.24 pass from two weeks ago that it had expanded the ring gear and had come off of the flywheel. Could not make it to the track that day. I have since taken the engine and trans out of it and replaced the ring gear. Ready to go now. Just waiting on the weekend and the rain.
ok on thet oct 15 6.60 and 5.80 doe it pay100% plus the 100dollars to the racers i have a few 6.60 racers and we like to know before we make that pull down there how many places it pay and how do you all pair up cars is it qualifing then a pro ladder or randon just like to know
The track pays 100% to the racers plus the extra added money. There will be no 5.80 race that night(Oct. 15th) due to another event. They will run 6.60. The ladder is formed from qualifying and the tree is .400 You get 2 qualifying passes(one in each lane). You can make time trials before qualifying begins. The payout is based on how many cars enter. Usually pays 4 spots for 8 cars and more for 12. It is up to the track officials to determine. They do things fair.
The next big race is Oct. 29th 5.80 and 6.60 All the players will be there. Hope ya'll can make that one.
Sept. 24 racing -- Mike (good racing), 15:08:43 09/26/11 Mon [4]
The best race of the night: Kenny & Jimmy. Kenny left first with Jimmy right behind, both had 6.64 dial-ins,could not tell who won until win light came on in Kenny's lane, ran 6.65 to Jimmies 6.64, the holeshot giving Kenny the win
I hope you two are going to run the 6.60 index this coming Saturday. I know there are several cars/trucks that run close to that number that could do the index so get the word out. Once you have run in the index classes you will see how much fun they are. I will be there to help get this race going. Who is in???
i am with the pr6.60 group out of dfw we will miss this race because we are having our last poins race this weekend but if you all have a 580 and 6.60 index race after this 1 i will come as well as at least 3 other in 6.60 indext and maybe a few 580 guys lets us know if you have another you are more than welcome to post on our site it is pro580 or can call me 9032582441 thanks jason

Hey Rowdy Rat, where ya been? I don't see you posting anything on here anymore albiet I know you're still lurking about and reading this board. You'd better be getting your ducks in a row, because Spring of 2012 I'm coming for you. I'll attach a little teaser pic of what I'm starting out with, but by the time we get side by side, it'll be a little healthier. No time for fear, just get ready....

Re: N/E point winners -- ron (racing), 06:26:19 09/12/11 Mon [1]
Noticed you have a 580 race about once a month .did you thank about having a 660 race the same night that you have your 580 race and if so what kind of entry and payout would there be .I live up close to the dallas area and the 660 class is prety popular up here .just currious and might be something to think about .
Ron,
We attempted a 6.60 index race and it fell through. I have talked to several racers and they want to try again. I will see if the track will promote an index for the 6.60/6.50 racers....stay tuned.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!THE HILL DID NOT BURN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We have received several calls from concerned racers and fans telling us they heard that THE HILL had burned. That is not true and we will be racing this week-end. The fire was with-in 2 miles of the track and we did receive some damage from the wind but it was confined to our travel trailer and will not effect racing. Please let everyone know that we will be running. Thanks Ken
I was out at the Hill this past weekend tuning a Cummins diesel powered Pro Street truck for next weeks finals in Topeka Kansas. We had a good time and it looked to be a very good turn out of racers. I stayed at Cooliage that night and the next morning we could smell fire really strong from the North, but we later heard in town that Praire Hill dragstrip had caught fire and did a lot of damage, Im hoping this is not true. If so what was the extent of the damage? Tucker
I would like to thank everyone at the track for all you all for the support. For the most part the track has been really good for as hot as it has been this year. And to my 5.80 brothers it was a blast this year. Maybe next year some of the other guys will step up and join us. Heads up racing is where it is at. And to all my RPM Racing buddies, thanks for the team work you have shown this year. We all worked as a team to get threw the season. Let do it again next season.

Re: To all the 5.80 guys -- Chris Ragsdale, 08:11:57 09/06/11 Tue [1]
Same here, I had a blast even though I didnt make it out near as much as I had wanted. It would be nice to get some more people in it this next year (or even if all of us could make it all at once lol). The heads up is alot funner than just making solo passes, for the ones who don't want to bracket race.

Re: To all the 5.80 guys -- Jon ( 1bad 71 ), 19:54:18 09/06/11 Tue [1]
I had a blast as well. I would like to give a thumbs up to Jeff for getting this off the ground and going and to ken and the crew for all they do. I also hope to have my own car out next year and get a lot more seat time. I guess we will have to put up with at least one more too ( probably my baby )Good racing with good folks.
The points season is finished for 5.80 index. Planning a bonus race first Sat. in October and maybe another on the Halloween race. We need to have a drivers meeting for the index racers before the first bonus race to review the season and to make any changes for the rest of this year and into the next.

Re: street record -- Hemiracer1 aka Stick Car Racer, 17:23:47 08/04/11 Thu [1]
Hi Karen,
Just some FYI on the track records: I did run a 4.205 at 178 mph in the 1/8 mile recently but I have also run a 6.88 at 199.77 mph in the 1/4 at the Hill.
It has been too hot for me to run my car recently but when the weather cools enough, I will be back at the track with the 200 mph mark in the 1/4 as my target. I am still looking for 220+ and 6.50's. We will see.
I would still like to know what the ET's were for each class for last weekend though.
Thanks

Hey Cody, I have been wondering the same thing for a while now. I would even like to know what the fastest ET was for door car, dragster and motorcycle for each weekend but no one seems to post it anywhere that I am aware of. I guess you may have to call Ken direct and ask. If you do, would you be so kind as to post those ET's here for each class?
Thanks,

WHO'S THE GUY WITH THE RED 70-72 NOVA? WITH THE RED AND BLACK SEAT COVERS.WHITE TIP ON THE SCOOP. I HAVE SEEN IT ON THIS WEB A COUPLES WEEKS AGO. LOOKS STREET LEGAL, AND VERY FAMILIAR. GIVE ME A CALL. 903-388-5671. THANKS, LUCKY JONES **BULLITT CHASSISWORX**
We are trying to stay consistant with other tracks that have the same rules. Check pro580.com and see their rules. We have some racers that race there and at The Hill. AND, true heads up racing don't use no stinkin' throttle stops! He He!
Who would need a throttle stop that is currently running the 5.80 anyway?? Most of them are using a little go go juice to get there. I for one don't care what you use just bring it!
YUR RITE, A 5.80 DOOR CAR IS USUALLY ON THE SPRAY BOMB(NOS), AND THATS PRETTY DAMN FAST,FOR A CAR WITH DOORS, BUT REAL RACE CARS DONT HAVE DOORS! hahaha SO I GUESS IT MAKES NO SENSE TO SLOW IT DOWN CAUSE IT TAKES SO MUCH TO GIT IT THERE.
Ok, for Dwayne good job running the number without help. As for Bullet, what does your doorless car run, I might just want to show what a door car with nos can do!!!
WELL MR. Hmmm, MY DOORLESS CAR AS YOU CALL IT RUNS PRETTY SLOW, 5.30'S. MY MOTOR IS ALL STOCK BBC, OEM, STANDARD EQUIPMENT. IT'S A BUDGET MOTOR ALL THE WAY. ITS NO WHERE NEAR THE HORSEPOWER THE CAR IS CAPABLE OF HANDLING.
lol, ok bullet I will look for you and we can run. My motor is actually pretty mild to and you have an advantage in weight I am pretty sure but it should be a good race! What color is yours anyway?
NOT TO BE BRAGGIN, NOT TOMUCH ANYWAY, BUT ITS THE BEST LOOKIN ALTERED AROUND! hahahaha ITS HOTROD DODGE YELLOW!! I SAY THAT CAUSE I BUILT IT FROM SCRATCH, NOTHING MORE THAN A BUNDLE OF TUBING. IF YOULL SCROLL DOWN, YOU WILL SEE IT. NICE TALKIN HARMLESS SMACK WITH YA! SEE YA SOON AT THE HILL.
I know who you are and what you have just like you said talking smack lol. We will have to run sometime though. Talk to you at the track. Oh and by the way, dont be so modest, you know it is nice.
In Pro 5.80 rules if you have a Throttle Stop on the car it must be disconnected and not working. Racers running both NHRA/IHRA Super Classes can also run Index races with little change made to the car. Trying to keep it simple for more racers. Also left hand steer roadsters can run with the door cars.

What Cody is referring to is myself and about 15 other racers and 30 or more we brought to the track for the 2nd year in a row for the Memorial Day races and being treated like second class nuisance for even being there by the track officials in the staging lane. I don't know any of their names, Cody does but what they said not only to me but to everyone not just once but several times was uncalled for and the attitude that came with it. On my first pass of the night and probably (digging through box of timeslips over the years) the 50th or so pass at this track one of the track employees comes up to my window and says "I'm only telling you once so listen if you or anyone in your group drops A/C condenstaion on MY TRACK your outta here, got it!!" I looked at him and said I don't even have my A/C on and this is my first pass did someone do this in our group he replied "NO I'm just warning you so there is no confusion" I was like ummm ok this is not my first time at this track and have about 500 timeslips over the years I understand what your talking about but it wasn't warranted were a seasoned car club and understand the rules, now had we actually dropped condensation fine then say something but he and others did this to everyone in our group and to me on two separate times. Not being ass but the ONLY time the track was down was due to trailered in cars, one dropped coolant or water right when he was staging and when the guy almost hit the wall in his truck I bet non of those guys get treated this way. We had similar unwelcome last year and after the little attitudes this past weekend you bet we will never be back so I doubt you will miss the $500 plus in entry fees we spent with the group.
I don't run a door car but I can't help but wonder who it was that said that to you and the other racers that night. Do you know that person's name or can you described that person?
I do race at the Hill, just not a door car, and YES, a/c condensation IS a problem with some racing vehicles. It certainly is something that needs to be addressed but in the right way and not offensive. Tell us more, please. Thanks

Re: New Hours -- Ken Tucker, 05:25:07 06/10/11 Fri [1]
First and formost....This is "MY TRACK" and I would like to know who it was that treated you that way. "MY TRACK" welcomes ALL racers and strives to treat ALL racers the same, street car, motorcycle or trailered car no matter. We are here for ALL racers.
We have had some problems with A/C, but that does not warrant the treatment that you received and I apologize for that.
We will continue to address the issue of fluids leaking on the track from All racers for the safety of all but this has to be done in a more professional manner......Ken Tucker
I believe his name is Ed (larger guy had on a black shirt, wears glasses) and is the one that talked to me on my first pass and several others in our group, the second guy that gave me the lecture was the skinny shorter guy working the tree he came up to my window while the track was down after the guy almost hit the wall in the right lane (we were next to run) at that point I was ready to leave, I had also asked not to spray water down when I and few other AWD vehicles come up all we do is drag water up to the tree and that's worse then the AC condensation but half the time they don't even look at who is in the staging lanes and start spraying the hose. Please don't take this as us being touchy or cry babies we just want to have fun and totally understand the rules it's not our first track outing just want a little respect like the bracket racers get and for it to be a win/win for the track owner and door cars that want to come and have some fun grudge races.
Some things ya'll need to know: The index classes have been moved to the third Saturday of each month so we are not running the same time other tracks are running their indexes.
The entry for the next race will be $50 and the payout will be 1st through 4th.
The best news for last...Richie Price has added $200 to each of our 4 remaining 5.80 races starting with the June 18th race. He is hoping the track will kick in a bit also! He has also agreed to provide a "surprise" bonus check for the winner of the points series at the year end banquet. I am also working on another sponsor to add money to our 5.80 race. I will know more on the other sponsor soon.
Get your cars ready and we will see you at the track!!!!
