The embrace while normally welcomed did little the calm the sputtering embarrassment that was brimming to the top, if she wasn’t careful she’d turn bright red by the time this whole exchange was done. It didn’t help that while she was being crushed in a tight hug that the giant stranger started to laugh. So much for looking like the grown up she was so desperately trying ot be. ”No, I figured I’d surprise her at the house…I’ve still got keys for it you know.” Her voice taking on a slight defiance, only to be rewarded with the ruffling of hair that was done to little kids. She’d have elbowed him then, but he stepped away and turned his attention towards the giant that was obviously getting more of a show than she’d have liked. Elden’s remark about her needing training was returned with a stuck out tongue, childish, but she’d already been demoted to childhood friend and her feelings were hurt. Elden knew she hated to be treated like a kid, but he did it anyway. ”I told you I’m sorry, I forgot sheesh.” Yeah, he was so telling her mom, and she was so busted. Realizing that lessons meant more training and time with Elden though she perked up. ”I’m around all summer, so I guess if you want to give me those lessons, I’m game.” He couldn’t say no, he’d already told her she needed them…right? Realizing that she’d never introduced herself either, and that Elden had yet again taken the role of doing it for her Des gave a brief glare then smiled up at the man next to them. ”Pleasure to meet ya and can I drive your car?” Hey it didn’t hurt to ask did it? She’d even let him drive her’s if he wanted.
