I had the only parents in my poor rural community that didn't do bare punishments, however I didn't escape it. About age 11-12 the kids used to do a lot of camping out (An excuse to sneak around and get into trouble.) They would often place bets on dangerous dares and a bare bottom spanking with whatever was handy. (Mostly switch since we were camping, sometime belts) would be the losers fate.

Always was spanked bare at my house. My mother recalled taking my diaper off to give me a spanking.
