This is absurd. I doubt WGN is investigating Doug Black. He was just used as a witness in one of their investigative reports and their investigation of him would reflect poorly on the thoroughness and credibility of that report. They also have to be smart enough to know they'd just be getting involved in the IL mud-slinging drama, if they've done any investigating into how our fine system works. They could waste all their time and resources on chasing such nonsense in this state and, frankly, there's more interesting stuff to investigate. Unless he's involved in the program, what would be the point of investigating him at all? If there are charges to be brought against DB, then bring them and let a legal investigation ensue. If that can't be done for whatever reason, then drop it or come up with something new to threaten him with. Amalia made (and then didn't follow) her own rules. Her inability to adhere to MAO's rules is why she was shown the door. I'm sure it's more comfortable to take a victim's position and say that she was just enforcing the rules to a vicious, bitter group of people, but no one can be expected to know, much less follow, rules that regularly change at the whim of an unstable "boss." Plus, it is ultimately the "boss" who sets the tone for the "workplace." All quality leaders know that. If there was rule-breaking, bitterness, paranoia, malice, etc, those things were cultivated by the "boss." Additionally, you may be able to shed negative light on some (or all) of the people on that panel, but none of that makes what they said untrue. Didn't matter what the by-laws said or what was in the MAO agreements, she just made up rules as she went, and used them to punish people. Many times her rules contradicted her previous rules and you never knew which end was up. And if she decided she wanted someone thrown out, she'd make up rules simply to throw someone out on a "rule violation". It's very clear that Amalia and her few loyal henchmen are still in denial. The 8 people who were on that WGN panel were just the 8 people willing to go on the air. Given that over 70 people rolled through that state staff over 9 years, and countless other local directors all quit, the fault lies solely on people like AS, GS, Katie Frank and anyone else who were in leadership roles during that period. For every one person who went on the air, there were 10 more who didn't. And there was a lot of detailed examples that WGN didn't air. And let's not forget the Miss Illinois titleholders. We know that 8 out of 9 either contacted MAO, signed Cara's petition or spoke to MAO during state pageant week. Who's fault is that? That had nothing to do with the people on the WGN panel.
