Subject: Well, I'm not sure that becoming so close to contestants as to consider them "part of the family" isn't overstepping somewhat. Not maintaining an appropriate professional distance has been known to muddy the waters and give the impression of impropriety, whether or not there has been any. Nevertheless, I don't claim to know the Winters' heart, but if they are well-meaning, it's unfortunate they missed the mark so drastically on the matter of the teens.
