Mrs. DeWert is a fantastic person. Great mentor and teacher. She knows how to empower young women to think for themselves, explore their potential and deliver what they are passionate about. Five women became Miss America with her help and countless runners-up and state winners. Too many contestants like to make excuses or have their mothers do their work for them which tells her and others they arenot yet ready for prime time. She is a coach of champions for sure. But more importantly she is a caring, giving person working domestic abuse hotlines and helping people at risk to manage their lives. She has the admiration of many. -- ILLINOIS Pageants Board
