This is absurd. I doubt WGN is investigating Doug Black. He was just used as a witness in one of their investigative reports and their investigation of him would reflect poorly on the thoroughness and credibility of that report. They also have to be smart enough to know they'd just be getting involved in the IL mud-slinging drama, if they've done any investigating into how our fine system works. They could waste all their time and resources on chasing such nonsense in this state and, frankly, there's more interesting stuff to investigate. Unless he's involved in the program, what would be the point of investigating him at all? If there are charges to be brought against DB, then bring them and let a legal investigation ensue. If that can't be done for whatever reason, then drop it or come up with something new to threaten him with.
