I feel the same. There was amazing girls on that stage and they would have had a chance to win at MIss America. I don't think the pageant was fair and that is what is not right about sending Crystal to MA. I think she should just feel lucky that she was the chosen one and make the most of her year. But if you are a former who worked at winning, who was dedicated to your platform, who spent years honing your talent, and/or who made an effort in your education, how are YOU not insulted? I can only assume you haven't looked into things deeply enough or you're too close to Crystal for people to share the truth with you. Just was there and thought that there were a couple of other contestants that had a better chance of winning at MA. I think we look bad when we don't send our best and to be honest it was a horrible pagent. Especially during prelimaries when it was a talent show for directors. I felt the titleholder from last year and from the past that performed were very talented and well spoken. I came to this board to see what was happening since it is Miss America is so close. Sorry I offended anyone, but I still think that this is the best we can do, then YES, I do agree with many of the posts. Change is definitely need so that Illinois has a chance at Miss America.
