One thing I love about this site is that I have learned the names of actors in other silent comedies that I wanted to know for decades. One is Don Maines!!!! At one of the Slapsticons we saw Don in five different comedian's films in one day and no one in that knowledgeable crowd knew his name then. We called him "that guy".
By the way, that is Mr. Maines on the left as a prankster in Lloyd Hamilton's APRIL FOOL. Maines was in Jimmy Aubrey Vitagraphs so there may be some more Aubrey/Hardy IDs for Don. I'll get to lookin'.
What a great crew working here.
