I only wanted to find her cause of death because that was all that was needed to complete her original HoF at ANM. That made me question her bio which came from IMDumb and Wikipedia.
The best birth info I could find was the 1900 Census which showed June 1882 instead of 1883 and her death was off by one day. My curiosity was piqued.
While digging around 1900, I bumped into the "artist's model and burglars" story and couldn't believe it was the same person who was the 250-300 lb. comedienne but her Census and newspaper addresses matched.
I had to distill the various newspaper accounts into what you see.
I hope she comes across as a naive young girl rather than a "bad" person.
I "lost" her after 1901 and after 1909 so I can't confirm if she got into vaudeville or burlesque or if she actually got married or what name she used. It could be true.
I finally got around to submitting to LordHeath a list of sources for her HoF Page.
She was one heck of a woman!
