Interesting find, Marilyn. In addition to Paul/James, I recognize George Rowe, Ernest Morrison, Ethel Broadhurst, and Mark Jones in that photo.

The December 24, 1921 edition of Motion Picture News mentioned "Scatter Your Shots" being in the editing stage along with RICH MAN, POOR MAN, which saw release in February 1922.

Ethel's presence in the photo would also imply that "Scatter" is an earlier entry, although by that time in August, the entries with Jobyna Ralston were just starting to see release.

Wondering if perhaps it's a still from BUSY BEES (which has a plot point involving an escaped convict, which seems to match the photo along with that film's known cast), which would have just been released a couple weeks before, and someone at the magazine got mixed up (perhaps "Scatter" was a working title and was mistaken for a yet-to-be-released separate film). Or it could be one of the Pauls that was ultimately held back until 1925-26.
